Allow me some space to point out that there are numerous new givers of “Everywhere” on YouTube. Since the song became the anthem of hybrid cars, dozens of singers and bands have posted their versions of the song, many of them astonishingly good. THAT, my friends, is a real tribute to Christine.

But did Prince ever send her a birthday cake? Because he sent Susanna Hoffs a birthday cake.

Did Robin roll in her grave when Stevie called Christine her best friend in the whole world? That is my question.

I think Stevie should sing, Brown Eyes..
One of my favourite Christine songs. Very atmospheric. Nice and easy for her to sing with backing singers, doing most of the work for her. |

Of course, if the other members had been smarter, they would have used reverse psychology. Right before a big number, with Stevie waiting to step up to her mic, one of them should have started telling a never-ending story about something — anything — from the Fleetwood Mac annals and just droned on forever with a serious face and done that every night until Stevie finally said, “I’ll shut up if you shut up.” Another approach: After her long, boring speech, play her song at double speed whilst glancing at your watch. Fleetwood Mac concerts were always best when they were the Battle of the Passive-Aggressives.

I don’t think they could speed us the songs anymore by that point. Physically not thinking most of them could handle anything more than a plodding dirge. |

I believe Stevie respects Christine too much to try to cover any of her songs. She doesn't need to, anyway, because 'Think About It', is her dedication to Christine.

As an aside, did you ever hear that a singer named Rusty Wier released Think About It in 1977? I'm not sure if the year he released it is true, but this link says Roy Bittan co-wrote it with Stevie. https://secondhandsongs.com/performance/760037 |

Best comment in the thread. Can you imagine Stevie singing this? I can. It would be — wow.
