Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

How great is that! And it's quite a nice picture of your niece that he took. He must get his photography skills from Kristen!

Regina, yeah, I can't believe Mick's got him that mesmerized either. On the other hand, Mick himself always looks enthralled by SnL too, so the mutual supportiveness is really nice.

When they leave the stage for one of the encores, if Lindsey is behind Mick as they walk off, he will run up to him and grab him, hit him playfully.

Very nice camraderie.

This review from a blog, Popserious
http://www.popserious.com/?p=2260

Time cast a spell on you, but you won’t forget (Fleetwood Mac)

Boardwalk Hall. Atlantic City. June 13th, 2009. The air was ripe with the smell of the ocean, cheesesteaks and axe body spray.

Girls combed their hair in their rearview mirrors and the boys tried to look so hard. (Sorry, it’s Jersey. The Boss has to be mentioned.)

Accompanied by two fellow pop culture enthusiasts from Brooklyn clad in skinny jeans, we sojourned to Atlantic City to pay hommage to one of the most incestuous, celebrated and screwed up bands in music history.

Fleetwood Mac. (Get out your coke spoons!)

Fleetwood Mac’s abridged drama:

1)The British keyboard player (Christine McVie) was married to the bassist (John McVie) and starts banging the sound guy. Rumored to have banged lead guitarist/singer (Lindsey Buckingham) a few times, as well.

2)The wicca piece of ass with a sheep-like wobble (Stevie Nicks) starts banging Don Henley from The Eagles, the tour manager and then the drummer (Mick Fleetwood), much to the chagrin of the lead guitarist and singer (Lindsey Buckingham) who she hitherto was banging since High School.

Years of infidelity, death threats, drug problems, alcohol addiction, shawls and guy-liner ensued.

They’ve still got the right stuff.

They sounded pretty great— minus the hurdle of losing Christine McVie, masculine keyboard player, to a transgender op. (Just kidding, Davey! I love Christine McVie! She’s retired from the band as of now…) Fleetwood Mac also conveniently relies on three back-up singers to help them hit the high notes they can no longer reach due to massively effed up nasal passages eroded by massive freebasing.

One of the highlights of the evening was Stevie singing her solo hit, “Stand back.” Replete with the signature twirl from the music video. It was hilarious being in South Jerz with thousands of 45-50ish aged people losing their **** when this was performed like they were back in Wildwood in 1983.

I felt honored to share this slice of time with all the men and women who ****ed in a busted trans am to the 8-track of Rumours.

Don’t judge me.

Is this kind of language really accepted on the Ledge? Or should we ban you, michelej1?

Delmarva Media Group, June 17, 2009, letter to the editor

http://www.delmarvanow.com/article/2...-TO-THE-EDITOR

Fleetwood Mac concert in Atlantic City was an amazing experience

I love to live on the Eastern Shore. When I heard Fleetwood Mac was coming to the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, we could not resist taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry and going to see them. The ferry itself was a great experience.

My wife and I had not been in Atlantic City since we were kids. At 56 years old, it was tremendously different than my experience as a kid. It's is still a great community, different than Ocean City, and it brimmed with entertainment and activity. Still, it lacked Ocean City's family atmosphere. The culture was different and more international, but it is still a great American city. We had great seats. Fleetwood Mac was unreal. Lindsey Buckingham is the greatest guitar player and performer of all time. He writes, produces, creates sounds and is unbelievable on stage.

I've seen the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin with Jimmy Page and more, but never have I seen a performance like this. Stevie Nicks has a mystical, alluring, signature quality, truly a rock princess and goddess. She performed brilliantly, but looked fatigued. She and Buckingham shared some intimate moments on stage; that was unique. They have healed the wounds of the past but their lives have gone in different directions.

Mick Fleetwood is a tremendous talent and the best drummer in his elite class. His drum solo was amazing; when he spoke to the audience with genuine compassion, it was touching. No one can stop the passage of time. John McVie brings an upscale sound that complements Buckingham and the band.

I have attended some 67 concerts since the 1960s; this was the most brilliant. The best rock group from five decades ago lived up to its reputations-- even without Chris McVie. If you ever get the chance to see them, you won't be disappointed.

Thumbs up

Thanks to everyone who posted pics & videos. I went to the Philly show in April, but I so bad wanted to go to this one, too. I couldn't get my husband to go for it, so we went to Longwood Gardens in PA instead in the on-again, off-again rain. And I really like Longwood Gardens, but I was miserable, thinking I'd rather be in Atlantic City. Seeing the pics & videos helps.

Thanks...

Lee

Hey Lee...I loved the Philly show and thought to myself "okay, saw them once....I'm good now"...but when they annouced Baltimore and Atlantic City I had to go...my family thinks I'm nuts for seeing them 3 times LOL. Both were great shows (even though they left out "Silver Springs"...grr lol). I've never been to Longwood Gardens...I do want to go one of these days though. Passed it a lot and need to pick a nice summer day to visit.

Love this! Last week at MSG, I remembered toward the end of World Turning that on his solo tour, Lindsey sat and watched Wally during his solo, so halfway through, I thought to tiptoe and peek if he was still around and saw his boots off to the side of the stage. Peeked a little further and the rest of him was there too! (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...0&id=532809095). I love that he hangs out over there watching instead of going backstage to do whatever. The man truly doesn't leave the stage!

Was there anyone here that got to go to the stage? How was it up there?
I was 12 rows back (center section).
