Cool Hollywood Roll Call

I'm really excited to be going to this show. Flight arrives from Minneapolis on the 6th at 4:30 P.M, so I'll sorta have to high tail it to my motel and get there. So who's going, and more importantly, who's been there. Some info on the setup of the place would be appreciated!

I've been there one other time, very recently. If you're trying to get a camera in, they practically do a strip search (the HOB in Anaheim is like that too, if you're going to that show) and they wand you so hide the camera carefully. The place is small (I think I've heard it holds about 1,000 people). I didn't care for the parking. Don't know if you'll have to worry about parking, but if you don't, be glad. It's valet if you park at the HOB which means it took about 20 minutes of waiting to get our car after the show. You can park on the street, if you can find a (safe) spot, and there are a couple of other parking structures nearby. Parking is about $15-$20.

The security stuff doesnt surprise me at all. WHen I saw Fleetwood mac in Anaheim in 2003, you wouldve thought Osama Bin Laden was trying to get into the show with all the **** they had going on. Wanding, patting down ETC.

Wow- I didn't know Lindsey was playing the House of Blues! I literally live in the building next door.

Maybe I could be a freaky stalker that day and walk around the corner to see him when he gets there....

It depends on the venue and HOB's, in my opinion, are the worst, including the one in Las Vegas. They don't really check you as you're going in, but if they catch you taking pictures, you're going to hear about it!

A couple of weeks ago, going to see Stevie at The Greek, it was no problem at all. They just sort of did a quick pat/check and let you right in. They didn't care if you took pictures either, but HOB is a pain if you're bringing a camera.

Still debating, but as for parking...

If you get there before seven, park across the street behind the Pink Dot. Before seven, it's $12 and you don't have to wait for valet.

I don't know if this is still the case, but the House of Blues used to let people who have dinner there go in first. I did that for Dolly Parton and wound up in the front row. You show your dinner receipt and they put you in a separate line. You might call to find out about this.

It's a great venue. You'll have a fun time.

It just blows my mind that a rube from Minnesota is going to be in the midle of Hollywood seeing one of my favorite singers!
