To each their own. I reserve the right to call OSOTM a lump of **** as much as others might call RAL or SA the same thing, and they do! OSOTM is ALL about Steve’s terrible terrible fall from sexy rock lady to numb laughing stock. She’s very lucky she was able to come back from that. Her coke years had nothing on those awful Klonopin years.

I Sing For the Things is pretty good. I love the piano demo.

As for Rock a Little, everybody's Stevie poison is different. I like the title track, Imperial Hotel, Strangers, Nightmare, and Written. Unlike the Rupert Hine fiasco, at least her voice is mixed up front on Rock a Little so that she doesn't sound more like a backing vocalist than a lead vocalist. What would possess any producer anywhere to mix Stevie on a Stevie album as a backup vocalist?! What kind of stupid is this? I think she was sharing her tranquilizers with the producer during those sessions.
Out of all the solo records OSOTM is the one that deserves a remix. Dial The Number should be on it. On some songs she does seem to be singing through the fog.
What in the world were they thinking doing Blue Eyes to a reggae beat? One of Stevie's strong suits is country singing. Her and a guitar would have been much better.

I love RAL.
Some of it sounds dated now. But at the time everyone I knew loved it.

It's all the synths that make it sound dated.
