What if 'Tusk' were a single disk?
When 'Tusk' was in production, Warner Brothers was hoping that it would be a single disk to make it a better sell. What if WB had its way?
Which 10 tracks (with about 3 or 4 songs from each writer) would you pick? -------------------------------------- In no particular order: Over and Over The Ledge Think About Me Sara What Makes You Think You're the One Storms Sisters of the Moon Brown Eyes I Know I'm Not Wrong Tusk |

Part of Tusk's brilliance is that it is a big, fat, epic double album. In fact, I consider it the greatest double of all-time, even better than The White Album.
BUT if I did reconfigure it as a single LP, well... 1. Tusk 2. The Ledge 3. Think About Me 4. Storms 5. Sara 6. Angel 7. I Know I'm Not Wrong 8. Sisters of the Moon 9. Walk a Thin Line 10. Beautiful Child Aaah! I can't live without Stevie's five songs on Tusk. The idea of cutting any of them would be like cutting off one of my fingers. As such, poor Christine gets 1 song!

If Tusk was a ten song single disc I'd be depressed. Bigtime.

I hate the idea of Tusk being a single disc, but if forced-
If I were to make it into MY single disc- 1. The Ledge 2. I Know I'm Not Wrong 3. That's Enough for Me 4. Tusk 5. Storms 6. Sisters of the Moon 7. Angel 8. Brown Eyes 9. Never Make Me Cry 10. Over and Over If I were to make it into what I would think would be the most marketable/profitable disc- 1. Sara 2. I Know I'm Not Wrong 3. Think About Me 4. Angel 5. Tusk 6. Over and Over 7. Sisters of the Moon 8. What Makes You Think You're the One 9. Never Make Me Cry 10. Save Me a Place Neither of these is necessarily the track listing I'd go with. |

Tough challenge but here it goes:
Over and over Storms Think about Me Sara You'll never make me cry Honey Hi Sisters of the Moon Beautiful Child Brown eyes Never forget tonight I feel bad because I love Lindsey's songs on Tusk but forced myself to pick my favorites and none of his made the list. That does not mean I don't like his songs just means I forced myself to pick the favorites. Shocker: How in the world am I the first one to pick Beautiful Child? I thought that would be on everyone's list. Shame on you! Last edited by Macfan4life; 03-28-2015 at 03:49 PM.. |

This should be a sci fi sliding doors story about trying to return to a parallel world where Tusk is a double album, instead of a single one. I miss Fringe. Michele |

Or Stevie might've locked them up in the 'vault' until the release of '24 Karat Gold'. |

Why 10 tracks? Why not 11/12?
Am I right to believe vinyl LP's held 45 minutes of music? If so... Over & Over 4.35 The Ledge 2.08 Angel 4.54 You’ll Never Make Me Cry 2.12 Walk a Thin Line 3.48 Sisters of the Moon 4.42 (22.19) Think About Me 2.44 Save Me a Place 2.40 Storms 5.31 Brown Eyes 4.27 What Makes You Think You’re the One? 3.32 Tusk 3.30 (22.24) Christine: 13.58 Stevie: 15.07 Lindsey: 15.38 Non-album single: Sara (B side: I Know I’m Not Wrong) However, I'd never want Tusk as a single album. I'd really just want to have a double album with Lindsey's songs played a bit more conventionally. |

If 9 of the 20 songs were played and recorded more conventionally, it would not have been the thing that it is.

I like this list, but I might switch out The ledge for Not that funny (as much as I love that song)
