New? '70 and '72 bootlegs available
Just in the process of acquiring from one of my more obscure sources:
Filmore East - 7 Aug 1970 (audience recording, unknown source) 1 Like It This Way 2 I'd Rather Go Blind 3 Mission Bell 4 I Need Religion 5 It's Alright now 6 You Got Me Drooling 7 Jewel Eye Judy 8 Spare Me A Little 9 I'm Worried 10 Instrumental 11 Let's Dance 12 Teenage Darling Waterbury, CT - April 1972 (audience recording, unknown source) 1 Tell Me The Things You Do 2 Get Like You Used To Be 3 Future Games 4 Child Of Mine 5 Black Magic Woman 6 Shake Your Money Maker 7 Oh Well There's apparently a third 'intermediate' era boot due in the next couple of days. Haven't had chance to listen through to either in peace and quiet yet, but the '72 has a pretty decent sound. Willing to trade CDs to augment my Mac collection, if folks want, or equally wiling to provide pointers to where and how to get 'em if people have bandwidth and time to spare (these are 3-500 MB D/Ls)

These are both now being seeded at http://bt.easytree.org. I have acquired the 1972 show and agree with Mike on it being listenable at least, around B-. Sounds like a reel-to-reel taping with the taper stopping the recording in between songs. I need to listen to it more for further details though.
(FYI: Getting the two shows requires BitTorrent software and SHN conversion software in order to get it burned to a cd-r. And registering to the site in question.) And of course I'm willing to trade for both of these, if there's people who don't have the possibilities to get these two (and the possible interesting third one). FleetFootMike can't be the sole spreader of all the good stuff around here.

I missed the earlier ones, sadly, though I think ChiliD and I are trading one.

Cool...
I have a potential trader who has a ton of pre-75 Fleetwood Mac shows, Especially Peter Green era FM (So he claims, But I believe him because he has TONS of pre-75 Pink Floyd shows & he saw about 70+ cd's on my list he is interested in...)
When I found out exactly what he has I'll let y'all know. Brian "One can never have too many Beatle releases" j.

Just listened to "Jewel Eyed Judy" (followed by polite clapping from the stoned hippies, obviously ) from that 1970 boot, the sound is B+ worthy for me. I'll leave the rest for Mike then, I'm off to bed now.

I'd love to have those 2 shows plus the possible third show. I'm interested in anything from 1970-1974. I'm not very computer savvy, so I think I'd rather do a trade than try to figure out that software. I'm in the U.S. Would anyone like to do a trade, if possible?

I'm very excited to be getting some more shows from this period. Until this year, I had only 2 shows from this time(those Heroes boots). Now all of a sudden, there are more of these in circulation. I'm interested in that third show that you may be getting. Please let us know how that goes. |

The revelation of a THIRD 1972 boot is great.
There's two I know of: A radio broadcast of a live show from Seattle; and, an audience recording from Sindelfingen, Germany

I've got Peter Green-era stuff I can trade on cd-r. I'm not set up to deal with trading electronic files. Sounds like other people here have more '70-'74 things to trade than I do, although I've got a couple of discs from that period.
I'm not really a trader, I just enjoy the old Mac stuff so that's mostly what I have. I'd be up for trading for some of the '70-'74 stuff that it sounds like some of you have. If anyone is interested in a cd-r trade, let me know by email or PM. |

estranged4life, that's a very nice collection! I don't know that any of those shows would be considered "rare" - there are a bunch of traders around that have most of those. The two '72 shows might be the hardest to find of that bunch.
A couple of comments: the May 6, 1970 and May 23, 1970 shows you list are not from those dates if they are the locations you list, they must be something else. The August 6, 1970 show is supposed to be from the Fillmore West. As far as the '70 European dates, this is the closest I can figure: Hanover 3/15/70 Berlin 3/19/70 Vienna 3/25/70 Boblingen 3/26/70 Copenhagen 3/28/70 Stockholm 4/1/70 London 4/9/70 BBC session There's apparently a 4/3/70 Helsinki show too. That's all based on a couple of bootleg track list collections I've seen, but they sometimes conflict and of course it's always questionable as to the real date & venue for these old boots. |
