I think he seemed far more relaxed and comfortable in that interview than any I've seen. Not too sure about that rendition of Soul Drifter though.

I know right. He seems so chilled out there. If you watch some of his interviews from the 80s a couple years before they can be so awkward because he just seems sooooo on edge/uncomfortable.

Soul Drifter is top 5 song for me. Hope he plays it on the tour!

It's my absolute favorite of his songs. However, after a show one time in 2006, he asked a group of us fans, "What would you like me to play for an encore at the next show?" I piped up "Soul Drifter!" His smile disappeared and he was like "Next suggestion?" For some reason, it doesn't appear to be something he wants to do live anymore. It's a real shame because that song is a masterpiece, IMHO.
