Gee, such an ironic date (For personal reasons) for that release.

Bout time! At least it's only a year late...

but...shouldn't the album be coming out BEFORE the tour starts? Kinda weird...

At this point, I'm just thrilled there is an album! I commend Lindsey for still having it in him, really. It's the same way I commended Paul McCartney for keeping it up enough to release something as gorgeous as Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Bob Dylan for hisTime Out of Mind/Love and Theft/Modern Times trilogy, and Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, shoot, any one of them that is still releasing quality stuff I can dig.

I may be the exception, but Under the Skin was really beautiful to me. I totally loved/love it and was so thrilled to see his show. I'm not as shocked the second time around, but I'm just about as excited. Plus, he may have Twist of Fate on there. That calls for celebration.

I COMPLETELY agree. Every time someone who's been in the music industry for decades releases an album, I feel as though it's a gift.

Under the Skin, to me, was incredible.

If Twist of Fate were the only song on the new album, I'd still be stoked.

Yes, i totally agree! We've got Stevie's Soundstage CD/DVD, then a week later Lindsey's brand new album, and then in a few months after that, the new Mac album and tour...i feel like it's late 2002 again!

I hope Stevie isn't too pissed about the fact that Lindsey's album is going to be released a week after hers. I guess Warner doesn't want to have them battle it out for the top spot on Billboard...but that would be sweet if they did release both albums on the same day!

WOOT!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

....And to the September 17 people I see made it here before me, lol... My birthday actually IS September 16, which is absolutely wicked!!!

Best. Present. Evar. Thanks, Liddy!!!

(Seriously, I'm grateful for FAR more than just this coming out on my birthday. This is....truly amazing. I'm completely blown away by all this...I never thought Under The Skin--which I, too, LOVED--would happen, much less a tour, much less meeting him... And now, another album, another tour which happens to hit my hometown randomly...it's all incredible to me.)

So the only songs from the original Gift of Screws are....

She Smiled Sweetly
Gotta Get Away
Shuffle Riff
Gift of Screws
Twist of Fate
The Singer Not the Song

If Lindsey released JUST these songs for his album, id be ecstatic, let alone the other new songs he has ready for us.

Question...Didn't a fan ask Lindsey about Twist of Fate recently and he had no clue what that was?

Also, who cares if Stevie's pissed?

Not saying anyone "cares", but she just likes all the attention on herself.

Yes indeed.

Then again, I'm sure that if someone asked him about his cover of "Big Yellow Taxi", he'd probably have no clue about that either.

Lindsey was the attention whore on the last mac tour and I would guess she doesnt care when his cd drops. I do though and I will be buying both cds.

I think all four of these songs will make the album unless he decided to hold a couple over since they have John and Mick on them.

Personally, I hope that if he releases all four of these that he has reworked them to fit in with the new songs because they have a pretty distinct production style that will make them stick out like sore thumbs.
