Lindsey Working Out Distribution Details for New CD
See link below. Marriage and children may not have been good for the Lindsey-Stevie fodder, but it certainly has been good for fans of his music (as he probably realizes that he needs to provide long-term financial security for his family).
http://www.livedaily.com/news/14487.html As a side note, from a musical perspective, it makes little difference to me whether Lindsey releases his material as a solo artist or with FM. Other than adding some backing vocals by Stevie, the songs are nearly identical (as we learned from the GOS bootlegs and the the Say You Will CD). The one notable exception, in my opinion, is Say Goodbye, where the GOS bootleg version (and the live version for that matter), are much better the the FM/SYW version. I must admit, from a touring perspective, I prefer Lindsey solo tours much more than FM. The shows are much better, the seats are better and the tickets cheaper. I really enjoy John McVie's playing, dislike Mick, and am OK with Stevie on stage during FM tours. Hopefully, the new solo CD contains Steve's Riff/Wear You Down. This has the potential to be a commercial hit, imo. |
