I never heard that Janis Joplin yelled for Stevie(I'm guessing Fritz) to get off the stage when their set ran too long when they were opening for her. Janis never liked sharing the mic. Haha

The entire article contains just one sentence relating to the title:

“From Janis, I learned that to make it as a female musician in a man’s world is gonna be tough, and you need to keep your head held high,” Nicks said.

Tuesday night she said "If you're a woman who wants to cover someone's song, you have to do it well, or don't do it at all" Very much in spirit with her comment that Sheryl Louis is giving it her all to try to be Stevie's manager because Stevie doesn't listen to what anyone, especially females, tell her to do.

Thanks for supporting women at all costs Stevie!
