Default Twist of Fate

WOW! What a song. I may have to make Twist of Fate one of Lindsey's songs to take on a deserted island!
I used to listen to the Go Insane album and imagine what the songs would sound like with guitar solos. Twist of Fate is my answer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unhappy DROUGHT!!

Man, I've had an FM/LB drought lately...I have been putting off listening to ANY FM CD's because of my concert tomorrow night!! LOL I haven't heard SYW in about 2-3 weeks!!! ACK!!!!!

Anyways, that means I haven't heard my GOS CD in awhile either so I need to dig that out when I get back home Saturday or Sunday and bathe in that CD!!! TOF is an EXCELLENT song, I love the lyrics "I'm a little lost, let me find my way, I'm a little dead, help me live, been living in the past, let me rise today, led a selfish life, help me give." WOW...KICK A$$ LYRICS!!!!!!!! (If those are the correct lyrics. LOL!!! Ah, close enough.) Anyways, this song should have been the title track to this latest album, IMO. It would have worked PERFECTLY with Destiny Rules in terms of fate and destiny...they could be like....companion songs, brother and sister!!

That song should definitely have gone on Say You Will. It has a classic Mac feel and Mick's drums are really powerful. Plus Lindsey even creates a fake Stevie to sing on the choruses. Presumably it was part of the earlier version of the album before Stevie came up with her new songs. Maybe they'll use it on the next CD.

That's a distinct possibility. And can I say I was recently listening to Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind for the first time in a while ... that too would shine on the new cd!
(Who still can't believe we're talking about a SECOND new Fleetwood Mac cd with Lindsey Buckingham onboard! )

Twist of Fate and Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind - two of Lindsey's best, IMO, and waaaaaaaaaay too good not to be heard globally.

IF there is another FMac album, I'd be ok with:

Down On Rodeo
Gift Of Screws
Twist Of Fate
Gotta Get Away
(even though its a cover)
Try For The Sun (ditto)
She Smiled Sweetly (ditto)

being included.

But, I'd prefer all new "written FOR the album" material instead of the old stuff (especially Stevie's 1975-1985 demos) being recycled.

I agree, with the addition of:

GIVEN THING!!!!

and Shuffle riff

and a finished version of Steve's Riff.

And with a couple of new songs by our man + a 50-50 spli between SN & LB, we'd face another possible double-album.....

(I bet he has to drop Down on Rodeo again....)

Maybe the attention Lindsey is getting and the good critical reviews of his performances on the SYW tour will encourage Warner's to let Lindsey release a solo album. I'd still like to have Gift of Screws . . .or, Twist of Fate would be an even better title!

Barbara, I second your wish. But even if Warner gives Lindsey the green light, you know he's going to take another eternity to finish the damn project and by then people will have forgotten about him again. It's annoying as hell.

I still think he should release the finished stuff via the net if WB does not like his stuff. I mean there must be stuff we do not know about out there. But, then again "I am something of a dreamer . . . "

I'm thinking now that he's all grown up, settled down, got the wife, the kids, the new house, etc. maybe he'll get out there in that new 1200 sq. ft. studio on his property and whip out a solo album in a reasonable amount of real time - (as opposed to "Lindsey time").

Aye, Aye, Sarge! Geeeeeeesh!

Ain't you a little rough here? You sound like my old aunt.

You know he'll have LESS time now that he has a family. Let him take all the time he wants to make another masterpiece. The dude knows what he's doing.

I agree on the familything, but hey, he finished his masterpiece years ago and we only find 35 percent of it on SYW. He can bring it out now! Don't give him any time.

And to be honest, I really love the raw things made by him, liveperformances but also material like Given Thing And Steve's Riff (wear you down) even if you can't hear what the heck he's singing. Oh... those great papahohoho-papa's on given thing.....

I'm gonna put it on immediately!
