Default Idol judges perform GYOW on season finale

JLo, Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr and Randy Jackson performed True Colors / Go Your Own Way medley towards the end, right before announcing the season winner; there's a video here (at least for now) -

I just saw this on TV - thought it was great! Harry as Christine, Keith as Lindsey, Jennifer Lopez as Stevie (and she did a terrific job shaking the tambo and twirling and staring down Keith the way Stevie stares down Lindsey) and Randy as John.

They really had fun with this!

All I had in my head was the image of Stevie shaking her head (from the show last year when someone took Lindsey's guitar) and saying "That wasn't good" instead of "Not gonna happen."

That was interesting.

JLo was doing her best to imitate each of her ~characters in both songs, so props for that.

Didn't like how it started but it sure improved as it went on. The judges were pretty into it. Better than most covers I've seen of GYOW.

My question is, did they have help from backround singers on the harmonies. I know I saw other players WAY in the back. Bet they had a lot of help. I am not convinced J LO was singing on True Colours.

The Hollywood Reporter 5/21/2014 by Michele Amabile Angermiller

Tuesday night’s star-studded finale included a rollicking performance courtesy of Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban showing their “True Colors” -- a nod to Cyndi Lauper -- and rocking out to Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way.” So, who picked the songs?

“I know Jen chose 'True Colors,' Connick told reporters after the show. “I’m not sure who chose the Fleetwood Mac tune. I think Rickey [Minor] may have picked it.”

It just really seemed like they were having a good time. An appropriate homage to the greatest song of all time.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I'm surprised they didn't say Keith Urban picked it.

Now that I've watched it, neither am I, secondhand chain. Weird how for so much of it the camera angles switched so you never really ever saw her mouth…especially the last bit. If it was her, it had to have been pre-recorded.

I didn't like her voice on the song. Michele

I really like this cover. Great energy and enthusiasm - you can tell they're enjoying it, and it shows just what a great song it is
