Pardon, did I miss something? Where can one listen to "I am waiting"? I read that he did it on the soundstage TV show performance but is this also available somewhere? Then please info me!
To hop into the Stones discussion: Of the GOS songs the aforementioned covers are not my favourites but I think "Gotta get away" and "She smiles sweetly" are quite O.K. If he had ever released GOS I think there shouldn`t have been more than 2 cover songs on it...

I never could stand Christines songs on Tusk and made my own copy of it just with Lindseys and Stevies songs long ago. The exception is "Think about me" which has a different sound than the others and fits in for me. I agree that her contributions on earlier albums are much better. "Mystery to me" or "Heroes..."- great albums that I really appreciate. That was her best time imo.

According to Nancy's site, "I am Waiting" is unreleased.

Hopefully, it will made the DVD of his PBS Soundstage performance because it was stellar. My two friends I was with and I were in awe with mouths on the floor. If I am not mistaken, he played a very old looking large white guitar for this one. I think Sulamith commented on it. I hope that helps

It was GOING to be on the original double disc version of Say You Will before it was trimmed to the single disc version we know. It wasn't part of the leaked Gift Of Screws tracks but there are mp3s of it floating about...but, they're about as difficult (if not MORESO) to track down as the full-length mp3s of Lindsey's version of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi".

Arrow Chilid...

Yeah, I haven't heard I Am Waiting, I ADORE She Smiled Sweetly (my fave of the Stones covers), Blue Turns to Grey, grant you, I don't listen to much, it's on a CD somewhere in my room, not on my GOS CD I made, because I didn't have it at the time I burned the songs. Gotta Get Away...yeah, forgot about that one, I prefer it over TSNTS, but eh.

I hope he WOULD NOT put any covers on any CD from now till when he quits. I wanna hear HIS music.

I love the frickin Ledge, we go from Favorite FM song to bashing Stevie fans to GOS Stones covers. LMAO!! Sigh....

I'll admit that I'm a very vocal Nicks fan, but I have never once attacked anyone, no matter what opinion they may hold. I respect all opinions, but I don't have to agree with them.

If someone has made a broad statement that is open for debate, I'll most likely "argue" the other side. In most cases there is no "right" or "wrong," it's all a matter of perception or preference.

My biggest problem with your comments is that you've lumped all of Stevie's fans into one giant stereotype.
Perhaps I'm playing into what you expected, by responding... but why not stop to think which stereotypes you might be playing into, by bashing Stevie Nicks fans?
Everything is a two-way street.

In fact, I've often found it humourous that Stevie's seemingly biggest detractors are usually the ones who manage to steer every thread to some kind of conversation about her... by "firing the first shot," when they just as easily could have not mentioned Stevie at all in their response.

(By the way, the "Lindsey fans" and the "Christine fans" are quite good at defending their faves too, so the "Stevie fans" are not alone in that. It's a fan's right to support their favorite artist.)

There are PLENTY of Christine fans who love EVERY THING she has done. And Stevie fans are the MOST likely to critisise their favorite.

I consider myself a Christine fan, and a very "fanatic" in that... but I think I am able to criticize her bland, mediocre or just plain bad work... As I tend to think the very same way about Stevie or Lindsey fan... or about any fan of any artist. I don't believe either side has a tendency to cover it all up with a shadow of "it's all good, it's all great"... I have seen it all, but I would like to know what is the fact that motivates people to state that a certain group of fans is not able to criticize their favorite artist.

I've seriously have experienced that problem in a George Harrison-related forum when one can practically cannot say anything bad about his songs. And I'm a huge fan! But I'm also highly bothered by that fact... Oh well. I guess almost everyone with a minimum quota of intelligence would see that we're talking about real people here, and that they commit mistakes. And even if you don't think so, there has to be one work that you like MORE than other. If so, there is also one you like LESS than the first one... and there has to be a reason for that. The "I love them all equally" thing just does not make much sense to me, sorry to say.

Well, I am definitely a Christine fan, even more so than a Fleetwood Mac fan, I have to admit. While I don't love everything that she's ever done, I can honestly say there is nothing that she's ever done that I truly dislike. Some things I like better than others, but I can find something to like in everything that she's done. I also don't think that you can generalize among fans. I've seen some who love everything of Christine's and others who dislike some of what she's done. I'm sure it's probably the same with Stevie & Lindsey fans also.
