I think I remember (maybe it's buried in this thread somewhere...too lazy to look...) that David Kahne was shopping this song around to Disney but they didn't want or need or use it?!? Anyone else remember that? Whatever it was, with that in mind, this song makes more sense. A lot of Stevie purists wouldn't like Stevie selling out to Disney. But, in a way it would be a signpost that she had reached a certain level of acceptance and help cement her iconic status had it been used (like Elton John, etc.). But, I do think that she is achieving this in her own way, without the mass exposure of Disney.
