Default If You Could Pick One Song From SYW...

... that describes how your week has been, which would it be?

Mine would be, "What's the world Coming To?" Let's just say it's been a tough week!

TGIF!!!

Actually mine would be a response to the whole Say You Will project: "Goodbye Baby"!

Again, the Mac famously ruin another great oppurtunity.

1) They release the first single without a video. Like, right?!

2) They go on tour 3 weeks after the record is out, so after the lame appearance on the Tonight Show, no other TV can be planned and now they will not be able to make a video for second single "Say You Will" either!

3) Speaking of "Say You Will", did Warners have to wait until "Peacekeeper" was not only dead and burined, but actually started to smell before they released this as the second single!??

4) And sorry all you Lindsey fans, but "Peacekeeper" was dead on arrival anyway. After 16 years, they should have come up with a much better single. The Mac can do as many print interviews as they want: the only way to sell records is to get airplay! Stevie should have realized that with TISL. No matter how "successful" people think this record is, its STILL not certified platinum!

Sorry for the rant, but 2 weeks in the top 10 is not enough!!!!!!
FM needs to get behind this record is more ways than just the tour!

OH Nooo Cliffdweller!

TGIF is right! No more bad week! "Say Goodbye" bad week! Bring on the GOOD TIMES!

Summer is almost here...if that helps!

Well ~ I just hope your week didn't bring you up against the lyrics in the last verse of that song especially the last two lines!

I tried to find a song to dedicate to you from the new album, but fell short in finding one that simply said, "have a great weekend!"

As for me, It seems as though, Stevie had personally chronicled my week in her song "Running Through The Garden". Right down to the prison like toxic gardens!
Only a long story could explain it! ...And no ~ I wasn't just doing some weeding in the garden either!

Well Cliffdweller...from the old school...have a great weekend!

Life, Love, and Magick~
Tommy

As far as dedications ~ this old standby may simply have to do!

Quote:
"Don't Stop thinkin' about tomorrow ~ Don't stop it'll soon be here ~ It'll be here...better than before ~ Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone! Ooooh...don't you look back ~ Ooooh...don't you look back! ~ Ooooh...don't you look back..."

I REALLY hate to admit it, but, I'm totally feelin' you on this one. The fact is I'm still going to therapy sessions over the fact that Stevie didn't release a single for "Sorcerer" (and if she did anyway, it never came to my record store), or a video for "Planets Of The Universe"
The only excuse I had been given from the records stores was, simply, that people don't buy CD singles anymore?!?!?

So Fleetwood Mac's course of actions does not surprise me at this stage of the game. In this day & age there is no excuse for halfway effort marketing and promotions for bands in the music industry. Not with all of the talented people out there actually making an effort artistically.

Whatever happened to the wonderfully artistic Fleetwood Mac video's from yesteryear?
Have anyone seen the CD box set for SANTANA? Whomever did the artwork should be given a pulitzer! It's that amazing!

"Oh Well"...I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks for the rant!

Life, Love, and Magick~

Work = WTWCT?

Home = Destiny Rules

Love = Smile At You, EFO, Destiny Rules, SYHA

I agree they should have released single #2 before #1 got moldy.

My pick of releases -

SYW, Miranda, Destiny Rules, WTWCT?, EFO, SYHA

It's not on SYW, in fact, it's not on any record but this week has been Impossible Task. Hopefully Imposssible Task will be resolved by next Friday.

Well, if you've been over to the Stevie board, you might have read my rant about how i got counseled, aka written up put nicely, at work for having a negative attitude. So, the song that fits me most right now is Doing the Best That I Can. But, if it has to be off of Say You Will, Thrown Down (twisted in a sense) fits most.

"Maybe now he could prove to her that he could be good for her (and her store) and they should be together (as a management team), i've shaken your faith in me, NO, YOU'VE shaken my faith in everything else..."

Just interpret it differently and you have my life in a nutshell right now.

I have to say Say Goodbye for this week because I am moving away next week and seem to have spent the whole week saying goodbye to people. Very sad!

Love Gem
