Default Mick's new Book

Genesis Publications announced a signed limited edition book by Mick that "will chronicle the formation and rise of Fleetwood Mac." They are looking for photographs of the band during the years 1967 – '75 to possibly include them in the book.

I guess it's a positive thing he seems to be looking to chronical the period up to 75. It would be good to get more stories and pictures about the 70-75 years.

Yes, it's an often overlooked period, but full of interesting happenings, like Jeremy Spencer's escape, Bob Welch and Danny Kirwan's fights, Bob Weston's affair with Mick's wife, the fake Fleetwood Mac band. I still don't understand why only the Buckingham-Nicks formation seems scandalous to media.

You mean pictures only? The words "chronicle the formation and rise of Fleetwood Mac" makes me think otherwise but who knows...

Well his "My twenty-five years in Fleetwood Mac" book is mostly a photos book, with short paragraphs telling the story of the band (mostly a very reduced versión of his first book). Probably this is the same kind of book, but updated.

Maybe this book will be better written than the last one. Maybe he'll spend more than a few pages on Mac since 1998?

Mick Fleetwood Revisits El Carmen
Mick Fleetwood returned to the historic El Carmen restaurant in Los Angeles last month, to be photographed by Henry Diltz for the upcoming Genesis publication charting the formation and rise of Fleetwood Mac from 1967 to 1974.
It was in this restaurant, in 1974, that Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham met to discuss the next incarnation of the group.
To find out more about this Genesis edition, and submit your photos of Fleetwood Mac for possible inclusion in the book, click here.

So, a closer look at Genesis Publications suggests all their books are limited edition 'luxury' books costing hundreds of pounds/dollars. They look truly beautiful and well worth owning but probably out of the price bracket for the majority of fans. I'm not sure I can personally justify splashing out quite so much on a book. I cant quite tell whether they sell standard versions of their books at more affordable prices.

And they're crowd sourcing for FM pictures to put in the book.

I mean I'm all for getting rare pictures that we haven't seen 1000 times before, but with the price, it just sounds like a great way to charge a fortune for a book, while doing very little work.
