Thanks so much! Had I been alive, this would've been the concert I'd have went to haha.

You're very welcome. I'd give my right hand to have been alive for it too.

I saw two Mirage concerts. Hartford and Worcestor. At the Hartford show we had some killer greenery. I wish I could have made this message at 4:20.

I was at the Worcestor show. I don't remember, but it's likely that there was greenery around. It's too bad that the atmosphere of concerts in passing years has gotten so corporate, sanitized and politically correct. I say GO GREEN!

I was at Doobie Brothers outdoor concert several years ago, and it was the first time in 18 years that I caught a whiff of it.

For me, the presence of the green has been the only thing keeping concerts from becoming 100%dull and PC! It's the last "bud" of hope for the declining concert atmopshere It was in heavy rotation at the Unleashed shows & the Crystal Visions show I attended.. and it wasn't just mine

btw, as to not totaly hijack this thread, I always thought that on the nights they were "on", Hold Me was fantastic!

Thanks so much for posting. Wow... that brings back some memories. I was at that show at Alpine Valley. It was a good show... but it was a bit chilly out.

Thanks for this, BC. Mirage shows are always super welcome in my book!!

Sounds very similar to other shows in the M tour, maybe FM weren't as coked out as usual?

All the Mirage shows that we've heard on tape (or that we saw in person) sound very similar. Arrangements were the same from night to night, the sound of the singing voices was essentially the same, &c.

I think that, had the tour lasted longer, the band's arrangements & more superficial aspects of style (& perhaps even the set list) would have gone through several transformations -- much the way they did on the Tusk & Rumours tours. (If someone played you an unidentified recording of a Tusk show in November 1979 & another unidentified show in June 1980, you could easily distinguish the two based on a number of differences. The same couldn't be said of the Mirage tour.)
