I'd like to see Miss Simpson tackle all the genres Blondie has. She'd fall flat on her ass.

As much as I'd love to see any sort of collaboration between Stevie and a member of Blondie, though, it would be a match made in hell. Could you imagine her trying to keep up with them?

I also enjoy some cheese from time to time. Got Ashlee's CD for Xmas. I don't think she's on her way to being a music legend, but she's not bad, IMO. Catchy tunes.
I never minded Jessica's singing until I caught a glimpse of her on that damned Xmas special - Godawful! It was disurbing. I kept thinking "OMG, will she be pissed if they get any still-shots from this." Her facial expressions & arm movements were beyond distracting, I thought she was going to have a seizure. And I will never forget her terrible rendition of "With You" on the AMA's (I think?) - they got a shot of Sheryl Crow watching her, expressionless, then she just looked away & started looking around the room/the ceiling/ anything except Jessica. Priceless. That being said, I haven't heard Friend AT ALL here, dammit! |

A steady, straightforward, sincere singing style (God, I love alliteration) pleases my ears FAR more than the technically proficient singers who make it a point to SHOW us exactly how proficient they are at every turn.

Good one! Though, technically, Patty and Selma are the BOUVIER sisters.

I heard "Friend" tonight while my husband and I were eating dinner at Stir Fry Cafe. They always play really interesting music in there, and I had to tell our waiter to tell the manager what a great choice of music that was.

BTW, I recently discovered that I really like the phrase "for f*ck's sake" so you may be seeing it more often in my posts. |

Hillary, make up your mind, for f*ck's sake! I know what you mean, though. For some reason, it does not bother me that much when Whitney Houston does it (well, used to do it anyway.) Xtina - OK Mariah - eh. Jessica - nevah! |
