Default Hypothetically Speaking

If you ventured to England for songbird hunting, where would you look for her? If you found her home, what would you say to get inside?

I'd search that pub that I heard she frequents....

At her home, I would thank her for 30 years of wonderful music. I would then beg for a "one-night-only" reunion with FM and ask for a private piano lesson.

to get inside? I would say...Hi! how've you been? I brought you some Champagne! basically, i would try not to seem crazy, and be chill, cause i think Christine's cool like that.

I'm not sure she still hangs out at that pub anymore since she no longer drinks. Someone posted on the message board on her website that they live near where she lives & that they had seen her shopping for groceries at the local Safeway. So I'd try there first. I don't think there's anything I could say that would get me in her house. Most people don't let strangers that show up at their front door into their house. I think I'd probably be too awestruck anyway to go to her front door even if I found her house.

The joys of hypothetical speak...

Here's my laughable answer.

I'm sure the door would be slammed in my face which would require me knocking again. The door would hopefully open again, and there would be my foot. Throw in a "I've always loved you MORE than Stevie" comment. Be let in, have a private piano lesson while sipping tea, and hearing stories from the day.

I thought we'd have a little fun with this in time for the holidays.

I think if you kept within five mile radius of Canterbury you'd happen upon McVie Towers!

I would no more knock on her door than fly to the moon without the aid of an engine!

I don't think I'd have the nerve to ever knock on her door either. I'd just stand there and cry silent, obsessive tears as I gazed upon the house from a distance. Maybe I'd take a picture.....and hope perhaps she'd take the dogs out for a walk or something. At least then I could nod a greeting to her in the road as she passed.
