Default Mirror, Mirror (The Song) Thoughts and Boots?

Just discovered the song on Youtube... don't know how it's escaped me for this long! The RAL version on the Blue Denim b-side is fantastic for the vocals alone; so urgent and strong, especially for that period. Gotta say I'd have prefered this song as the title track versus Rock a Little (Go Ahead Lily). The lyrics and music don't feel quite there but they are very close. Got chills when she screams "Walk a THIN line!".

I like the Street Angel version I heard as well, better than many of the songs that made that album (as with Thousand Days). The music and lyric structure are stronger and the backup singers add a lot. It's missing something that the RAL version had but I can't quite put my finger on it.

What do you guys think of this one? Also does anybody have any good sounding copies of this great song from the RAL or SA sessions? YouTube compression ain't doing it for me

I have always absolutely adored this song! One of my favorite Stevie vocals to date, even if the first few seconds does tend to sound like the beginning of a breaking news program

If you go to http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/ -> Nicks Solo -> Multimedia -> "Mirror, Mirror" is listed on the page. Don't click on the link, right click and "save link as." You'll save it straight to your computer as an mp3. It's the highest quality one I have, but I'm not sure if it's the one you're looking for.

Hope this helps!

I no longer own a copy of the version as a "B" side to "Maybe love" and hope to find it again one day so i can permanently have it downloaded...
A shame Itunes doesn't carry it or Google play

I really like the RAL version mostly because that is Joe Walsh rocking on guitar. Her vocals are a bit of a mess which has its appeal but its raw demo form.
The slower version later on is really good. Its hard to pick which is a favorite. Those 80 sounding keyboards on the original can get pretty annoying though.

Here my version from the Street Angel sessions, it should have a higher quality than that on youtube: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pmg90p3g3t...02654.mp3?dl=0

However it's quite a coincidence that you'd have prefered it as the title track instead of Rock a Little because for a while Mirror Mirror not only was to be included in the RAL album but it should also have been the title track.

Me too. I have always loved this song! The RAL version that was released is probably my fav but there is another version floating around that is more guitar based without the snyths and has more of a groove. It's fantastic! I think I have it on a cassette somewhere. It's only about 2 minutes and it fades in and out but the vocal is amazing although it sounds very different from the other versions. I never got into the SA demo though many people love it.
