A bunch of stuff the past few days.

My country band's newly recorded song "I Know Bikers" (which you can hear, and I think even download, at Reverbnation.com.) Look for "Matt Slagg & The Tramp Iron Railroad".

Also, the new solo album from the Heartbreakers' keyboardist Benmont Tench You Should Be So Lucky...one of the best albums I've heard in a while. (it sounds like Dylan, Springsteen, Waits & T-Bone Burnett all rolled into one. And, absolutely NOTHING like the Heartbreakers...well, MAYBE the title cut COULD be a Heartbreakers song) Tom Petty plays bass on one song (NOT the title cut), he's the only other Heartbreaker to appear on the album.

AND, the brand new, and long awaited, Leon Russell album Life Journey. Just a great album from beginning to end. Got this at the same time as Benmont's, so it has been a battle for playing time in my car's CD player.

I shall check both of those out, I do like Leon Russell although he's a bit hit and miss over the years.

I love Lana, and this song did not disappoint. I wonder who inspired the "ooh baby" parts

A lot of Franz Ferdinand today and yesterday. I saw them last night at the Gothic Theatre in Denver - what a show! These guys really delivered - totally brought their *A* game for the launch of their American tour. I've been a fan for years, but this is my first time seeing them live and it far exceeded my expectations. And Alex Kapranos - omg that voice is as good live as it is recorded.

Well, yesterday was the 4th year since Gustavo Cerati, one of the most influential musicians of Latin America, suffered a cerebral accident after a show in Venezuela. He's still sleeping, but his fans are praying for his recovery.
Here's one of the songs of the famous band Soda Stereo -sorry, it's in spanish!!-

Soda Stereo, "El Rito" (1986)

I've been listening to my dear Little Boots. I love her voice, and her music is really good!!!!

Little Boots, "Stuck on Repeat" (2009)
