Do you know Bob? I do, and I have to say that he is a very nice man and absolutely not a leech. You might not think much of his contribution to FM, but there is no need to be derogatory about him.

I like brunning. I wish he would post here & share his mamories.... his book was better with the green years than with the nicks years because for those years he has read the same articles all of us have read.

You are right. I do apologize if I insulted you.

I'm just miffed at all of the inexcusable errors in his book, and his documentary dvd (sans footage). I could see he was using his connection with FM to make $ is a somewhat irresponsible way.

No, you didn't insult me, everyone's entitled to their opinion about someone. Bob is good company and can talk the hind-legs off a donkey And yes I totally agree there are some dreadful howlers in his book We did try and tell him for the updated version but that seemed to fall on deaf ears...

I haven't seen the DVD, so can't comment on that. Is it the one with Neil and Louise in it?

Default Idle Race

Well, I've listeed to the tracks with Dave Walker vocals on the Idle Race collection Back To The Story and they are quite surprising. Very much pop vocals different from the Sawyer Brown records and even more different from the FM tracks. Dave could very well have led FM in it's more pop oriented direction vocally. He is amazingly versatile and I think even more that it's too bad he couldn't have been kept on. Not a year later and I'm sure the leader of the group would himself have helped him polish off Bob Weston! Dave may even have been the best vocalist the group would ever have had.

Oops, yes, Savoy Brown. (looks for blushing smiley) Sawyer Brown was a totally different group, and nothing to do with Dr. Hook either, or James.

It's those crazy hippies that made me take their crazy drugs, B-toom! Freak out.
