Default Positivist things to say

I think string theory is a fairly decent start on the road toward a unifying scientific theory of everything.

Anybody else?

As Eric Clapton says..."Gotta Get Better In A Little While".

As Paul McCartney says..."It's Getting Better All The Time"

As Delaney & Bonnie say..."Things Get Better, Baby".

Definitely. Coincidentally, I just watched a NOVA special about that a few months ago. They explained it in a very simplistic way, though, which was both irritating and something that made string theory seem so obviously right that I was shocked anyone didn't believe it.
I love PBS. Because I would probably never read a book on string theory.

The Theory Of Relativity, The String Theory...ne'er the TWINE shall meet...and you can't ROPE me into thinking that; it just strikes the wrong CORD with me.

Why isn't this thread 6 pages long? It's a much better idea. Positivism is wonderful, in order to study it you must partially approach anti-positivism and almost slip into some kind of paradox that you might begin to wonder if you've cancelled yourself out, and so the cycle of contradiction continues. Positivism must be metaphysics, but it's an awfully nice branch.

Just remember, as I always say, apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Thumbs up Everyday

Everyday....
the moon will rise
the stars will shine
the birds will sing
the sky will change colors with the hours floating by

you open your eyes, and maybe even see-
you breathe
you learn
you love something-be it a person, an animal, an idea, or a song-but it is something-
Everyday....

(what could be more postive than that?)
