If I recall, is not the GDW a different mix? There seemed to be something about one version NOT having the "breaking glass" sound near the end. I am pretty sure the DVD Audio version was like this too.

The DVD Audio version definitely does not contain the breaking glass...just checked the box set version and no breaking glass.

I don't think the version that is on the expanded RUMOURS cd has the breaking glass, either. Or am I getting confused??!!

Original Vinyl of Rumours doesn't have broken glass

First CD issue has it

Chain Box Set doesn't have it

Rhino Remastered doesn't either

DVD-Audio doesn't have it

The Very Best of has it

(to the best of my knowledge)

So again, do you merit this breakling glass thing being "enough" to consider it being classed as a separate performance in the discography listings?

I think there's more to the mix than just the broken glass... the drums sound punchier or something, the fade out is longer (I think) and the guitar sounds different at the end... This could be just me... I'd vote for it being listed as a separate mix yeah...

Just realized we do have GDW as a diff mix on the chain box as of now anyways but this post has me thinking: Since you say the chain box DOESN'T have it yet the VBO & 1st Rumours CD pressing does, should we link the chain GDW to the "regular version" (Rhino remaster, DVD-Audio, etc.) and have an alt mix version linked between the VBO & 1st Rumours CD pressing? If we do this, I'll have to add a 2nd, almost identical Rumours package to the listings (since you say the vinyl & 1st CD issues differ). Thoughts appreciasted on this from all in advance.
