Trump did not elaborate on his meaning. But within minutes, Clinton's campaign and an outside group backing her candidacy denounced the celebrity businessman's remarks as an attempt to incite violence.

"This is simple - what Trump is saying is dangerous," said Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager. "A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way."

The pro-Clinton group Priorities USA blasted out an email with the subject line: "Donald Trump Just Suggested That Someone Shoot Hillary Clinton."

The Trump campaign was equally quick to dispute that interpretation of his remarks, saying he was simply touting the "amazing spirit" of Second Amendment supporters.

"It's called the power of unification - Second Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power," said Jason Miller, Trump's senior communications adviser. "And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won't be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump."

Whether he said it or not really doesn't matter at this point because he's made so many other UNBELIEVEABLE STATEMENTS during his campaign. The past two weeks have been exceptionally bad PR for "The Mouth". At times, you have to wonder if this man suffers from a mental illness. He's just BIZARRE at times. Trump's MOUTH is going to spell THE END of his presidential bid. I LOVE it!!

It's going to be alright. Just sit back, pop some popcorn, and watch "The Mouth" keep digging his own grave.

I'm with you on that one. No matter who wins this election, at least 50% of the country will not be happy with the result. The divisiveness will continue and probably get worse. It's time for a strong third party to emerge to save us all from the jackasses in the two major parties.

I don't think either camp is telling us the truth.
From the Clinton Camp acting the way they did.
To the way the Trump Camp explained the incident
away.

All it was in the end was a poor joke. And as bad as
the timing is considering what's been happening in
the U.S. doesn't change the fact that it was a joke.

Today a more serious question to Clinton's safety
was how a terrorist's father was standing close behind
her at a campaign rally.

If she can't protect herself - how can she protect us?

Perhaps Hillary needs a reminder of what 2A is....The 2nd amendment is intended to serve as a reminder / deterrent to the people in power that "We The People" have the ability to defend from hostile forces including a corrupt / tyrannical Government and if necessary REMOVE THEM FROM POWER by what ever means...

It's still mind boggling that Hillary is even still running and people are supporting her, with all the stuff that has been recently exposed about her. It shows how corrupt the system really is. It also shows that the election is most likely rigged, oh wait that was proven. It also shows that Hillary is definitely an elitist that is above the law. We need to get Hillary and other politicians like Hillary out of positions of power. I don't want my tax dollars going to a corrupt government that has racked up a 20 trillion dollar debt. It's time to fire the feds.
