They should just go ahead and put out the album at the end of 2015 without Stevie if she isn't committed. I know that some of them would like to tour on new music, but Lindsey has certainly gone without touring to promote an album in the past (Tango, Go Insane, L & O). He can do it again. I would rather have an album and no tour, than no album.

OR, they can release it without Stevie and play new songs on tour. She doesn't have to be up on stage for every song.

But what tour would they play it on? I don't think they can work new songs into this tour starting in January. That boat looks like it has passed. There's not enough time off between the end of this leg and the start of the 28 dates they just announced. Once this tour ends, no way will they be able to do another tour in 2016.

I can only hope the four Macsters will complete the album after this tour, without hopes of touring on it at all. Of course, they can promote it in interviews though.

And, it wouldn't be appropriate right now. This tour is about Christine's return, and thus the return of the classic Mac. The material played should reflect this.

You said the same thing last year.

I'm betting they release an album and do a proper tour to promote it. That's what Lindsey said he wanted during last year's tour, to keep the band going without taking an extended break for solo tours. Christine seems to want this, too, and you know Mick and John will be on board. Hopefully, Stevie wants this, too.

Not me. I didn't say that because I realized that they had to make up the concerts they canceled last year and I also thought they would come back to the U.S. and do some summer sheds. So, I thought they would tour this year. I just didn't know it would be the full blown tour that it has turned out to be.

So, I expected them to tour in 2014 and 2015. But I don't expect them to tour in 2016. I don't know about 2017.

I stand corrected, but I still believe there will be a 2016 tour that will extend into 2017. I think the 2016/17 tour will be in support of a new album, which will have Stevie on it. I think this tour will go through late September, 2015 and the tour in support of the new album will begin in October, 2016. That gives them a year off the road and gives them time to finish the album. Stevie could even do a short spring/summer tour.

I would not doubt that some members of the band (not Stevie) do have a schedule in mind, exactly along the lines you have laid out.

Interesting plan but I don't see it happening... By the end of the tour in 2015 Stevie will have toured with FM 3 years in a row so they are on borrowed time and I certainly don't see Stevie extending it to 4 or 5 years in a row with FM.

Baseless conjecture (well... if by baseless you mean, the band's history over the last 34 years). Some of these Christine/Lindsey songs will show up on a Lindsey solo album. Some will show up on a FM ep or greatest hits re-release to bolster another tour. In the meantime (HAHAHAHAHAHAH) Lindsey and Stevie will tour said solo projects. There will never be another FM album again. EDIT: Lindsey solo album should be titled "High & Mighty"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
