I guess I look at that a bit less literally/autobiographically. While he probably does literally mean, changing from Fleetwood Mac to solo (name); from pop to weird (insane), I read it -- metaphorically -- as losing his sense of himself.

That's another beautiful picture of Lindsey that Mick has in his book. Lindsey in the rain room. Too bad his kids didn't stay in the house long enough to appreciate that room. I bet it would really enchant a child.

Yes, it's another one of Lindsey from the back, which I like because to me it captures the sense of him being burrowed in music or thought.
