Looks like Stevie is getting in on the Barbie hype - Mattel is dropping a special edition doll of her this weekend. The following is from the Mattel Creations website:

Our next doll in the Barbie Music Series is more than an icon – she’s an award-winning songstress, trailblazer, and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

We can’t reveal who she is now, but we know that she will be adored by a landslide of support from her chain of fans. Her style and voice inspired millions of girls to create from their souls and to keep music in their hearts.

This doll will be released on October 1st.

Oooh....I can't wait. I'm seriously hoping the new Stevie Barbie Doll comes complete with platform boots, the 70's black Rhiannon outfit, and a black tambourine! Let's get this party started!

Please let it be the 1986-1987 Stevie, with the bird’s nest hair!

Accessories should include the bird from the cover of Bella Donna, her Stand Back shawl, and of course, a tambourine.

Also, please be a talking doll, and when you pull the string, she speaks in tongues like in the Mirage concert version of Sisters of the Moon!

I think it will be the most expensive Barbie (after all it's Stevie). So it will be similar to the Divorced Barbie (who comes with Ken's house, Ken's limo, Ken's laptop, Ken's yatch, etc.).

Hi WatchChain, My choice is, also, for a 1977 'Bohemian Rhiannon Stevie' for The Barbie Music Series Honors A Living Legend Collection, complete with a black tambourine and 'Margi Kent' inspired black gossamer 'Rumours' dress and black boots or ballet shoes.
