songs by Welch, C.McVie, Kirwin, and Walker
"Great; Very Imaginative, Interesting and New!" Bob Welch Fleetwood Mac .
San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2009 - A Miss Kristin Mac Attack is ten early Fleetwood Mac songs re-created in a pop/reggae style production that brings new life of love to classic Fleetwood Mac music. With songs written by Bob Welch, Christine McVie, Danny Kirwin, and Dave Walker, Miss Kristin puts a new spin on old favorites from where they began for this great band in the seventies. Young and old will enjoy the pop reggae style beats and the mesmerizing vocals and chants of Emmanuel Selassie as guest collaborator on this universal project. With old favorites like Emerald Eyes and Did You Ever Love Me, Miss Kristin croons delightfully through A Miss Kristin Mac Attack with her own reggae style approach while using her demonstrative and emotive vocals. Produced and Arranged solely by Miss Kristin, Kristin sings lead and backing vocals, handles all the drum programming and percussion, rhythm guitar for all songs (including 12 string guitar), and keyboards for the entire collection. Emmanuel Sellassie is guest featured vocalist (including chants) on Emerald Eyes, Did You Ever Love Me, Child Of Mine, and Bare Trees. The Derelict and Child Of Mine features Erick Thornton on Harp and Kristin once again features the great Tom Landry on bass guitar for all songs. A Miss Kristin Mac Attack is a classic collection intended to prevail as one of the masterpieces of Kristin's unique catalog. A Miss Kristin Mac Attack was produced at 2High2Die Studios in Campbell, CA for Big Fuss Records and is available everywhere fine downloads are sold. Terrible version of The Derelict. Oh and since when has Derelict been a naughty word? My iTunes store says "The D******t". Weird...

Did they change the existing calypso, "island" feel of Did You Ever Love Me? ?

Hmmm... I'll give it a listen when I get home. Bob Welch's enthusiasm is about the only thing to make me wanna buy it.

"They love each other so much, they think they hate each other." Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way" Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart. |

I haven't listened to it, but I'm happy to see the Bob Welch-era Fleetwood Mac getting some attention.

I don't want to be mean, but I can't get on with these at all. There's something very lifeless about them. Only "Just Crazy Love" works for me, but even then I'm not ecstatic about it.

Not terribly impressed though I agree with brettonbanquet that "Just Crazy Love" is worth a listen, primarily because here the band seems to interpret the song into a relevant contemporary musical context.
