Default Christine new interview in UK Uncut magazine

A new interview has popped up. A little depressing - she has a bad back so can't envisage touring, hasn't written for a while, is not in touch with Lindsey at all...

I've posted some photos of the article on my Flickr account - grabbed while in the newsagent, so a little hard to read, but hopefully it's all there! Click on the pics to enlarge them.

Thanks very much for that, tango . . . truly interesting - and thanks to your sharply detailed pics not really hard to read.

So much for another solo album. I hope her back gets better.

Welp she doesn't talk to Stevie OR Lindsey, and she's not up for another full on tour, but "6 major stadiums" like London, New York, LA etc.... she'd think about.

I think we see where this may go.... a final appearance somewhere, somehow, of the 5. Except.....Stevie.

In one of Mick's lockdown interviews, he said FM was offered a short run of big stadium shows with another band for either 2020 or 2021.

So maybe that's where Chris got the stadium run thought.
I think this would be a cool run of six venues:
Giants Stadium
Soldier Field
LA Coliseum
Cowboys Stadium
Glastonbury
London Stadium

very interesting interview - thanks for taking these photos and sharing!

sounds like her bad back is something more recent and possibly/hopefully temporary - she says she's gotta sort it out first before thinking of any kind of tour.

also interesting that any possible FM in the future she talks about is the 5.

So sad to hear about her back. She mentioned the pain at least three times. It appears to stand in the way of her sitting down to write. She doesn’t seem especially interested in writing more music. This breaks my heart. SONGBIRD is not a terribly compelling swan song.

In the link to the other interview with her (forget which forum.. Rumours?) she says initially it's "minor" and that she gets a shot of cortisone and poof! it's all good again. But by the end of the article she's saying what she says in this one, that it's limiting her ability to play, and even sitting at the piano isn't great. So..... does sound like for a big check she would get the cortisone shot and mime to pre recorded tracks...

They've been miming for quite some time.

She wasn't playing many parts for the BuckVie tour. On Hold Me, I was watching her every move(from front row). There's no way she was playing it.

Stephen has posted video of Lindsey doing karaoke.

It's sad watching the end.........

Between watching my own mother struggle with back/hip/knee issues for the past 5 years and now hearing about Christine…I’m really not looking forward to my 70s.

I don’t know how a group of people can spend so much time together or make music together and seemingly cease all contact like nothing happened.
