I REALLY wish Lindsey would quit the psychobabble on stage. We don't need a recital of what happened in therapy. It just kills any enjoyment I have for his music.

Yeah, but he's been doing this for soooooooo long now. I've learned to either mute it or fast-forward to the performance. In concert, I just nod attentively because I figure he's going to give me my money's worth and so much more with his performance I may as well give him the desired attention as he prattles away. I just wish he would inject more humor into the speeches. It's fine if you want to go on a long schpeel about the industry or cycles but some jokes here and there would really kill the monotony. I think he might be trying to be humorous at times but he is the only one who gets the jokes.

However, when he says new stuff, like his intro to Seeds We Sow, I was quite pleased to hear it and proud of the way he strung the sentiments from earlier speeches together. I was actually touched when he said that he can't think of anything he would change, even though I knew exactly how rehearsed it was and I realized that he's going to say this every night of his upcoming tour before 2011 ends and, by then, I will be quite weary. But I can't besmirch Lindsey. He feels comfortable enough to open up in this capacity and I do appreciate that, which is why I am always 100% respectful when he gets into them. I mean, the man never opens up about anything other than what is in the context of these speeches, so I'm glad to get it...just, you know, spice them up a little is all I ask. |

Me Too!!
I'm amazed about the ecstatic effect of the chorus.

That chorus does take me by surprise, as a sudden departure from the verses.

I love how the chorus opens up. Its very "Mirage-ish" if you know what I mean. It reminds me of "Book of Love" a little bit.
That being said, I LOVE the verses too. The acoustic guitar is beautiful with the melody. This is definitely going to be one of my favorites on the new album. Who do you think this song about? "I want to take the pain away, I want to take the shame away." |

Haven't listen to Law and Order for a little while - but weren't those ta ta ta's - or something like it used in one of those songs? I think it's That's How We Do It in LA?
