Default Salem (the tv show)

I recently watched this series on Netflix and was floored. It is better than American Horror Story and just as gross and "out there." I was wondering if anyone on this site has seen it. I really love it and it's been renewed for another season.

P.S. Love Marilyn Manson's theme song, Cupid Carries a Gun.

Hi, I was searching for a new series to watch while waiting for the next season of American Horror Story.
I've seen this show's commercials and I was curious about it but then it sank into oblivion because there were too much witches serials around at the time (Coven, Witches of east end and Salem).
I've seen it has mixed reviews on rotten tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/salem/s01/), is it just misunderstood or is it a kind of "guilty pleasure" series?

I wanted to like this series so much, and tried very hard. I just couldn't get into it, though. However, I too *LOVE* the Marilyn Manson intro song.

As far as witch/supernatural related guilty pleasure shows, I really enjoy Witches Of East End. I hate it was cancelled. It was sort of like a 21st century version of Charmed.

I loved Charmed! Well, up to the Third season anyway.
Too bad that they felt they had to pull out another useless sister after Prue's death, even if the show was nice I couldn't stand that improvised and approximate storyline.
Speaking of guilty pleasures, I really liked Happy town, I'm sad that it was canceled after only a season; they even stopped airing it after the 8th episode.

It's better than American Horror Story so far. It hasn't petered out. It's very dark and true horror and I'm hooked. I liked Charmed but it was like a cartoon. In Salem, good doesn't necessarily win out. You can't tell who the good guys are.

My initial choices were The leftovers (I love Liv Tyler) and Penny Dreadful, maybe I'll give a shot to this too...
