Default In The Meantime Say You Will!

Hey all!

I am new to the Ledge, but have been a Fleetwood Mac fan since I was a kid.

I have to ask this question. Who here is gonna take Christine McVie's best songs off of "Meantime" and the best off "Say You Will" and merge them together in a "Fleetwood Mac Album that never was?"

Thoughts?

Yes, I will do that. I haven't gotten In The Meantime yet. I'm still waiting for Amazon U.K. to get it to me. But, I'll take about 8-10 Buckingham & Nicks tracks from SYW plus 4 or 5 of the most Fleetwood Mac like tracks from Christine's album. I should be able to finally get a very good listenable Say You Will CD out of all that.

I definitely will be doing this...there are some songs on Say You Will that can definitely go to make room for some Christine songs (Silver Girl, etc.).

Default Yes!!!

A great idea, I was thinking on it, thoug my car cdplayer doesn't read CDs made from PC (my only way to do it)

Good thread to select those songs, wouldn't be?

I don't have In the Meantime yet. So I don't know if it compares or not.

Smile In the Meantime Say You Will

I reckon you could do it one of two ways:

1. Ditch 6 songs from SYW and add 6 from In the Meantime
2. Add 9 songs from In the Meantime to SYW and create a double album

I think there are at least 6 from In the Meantime that could fit

Friend, You Are, Liar, Northern Star, So Sincere, Sweet Revenge

I think Lindsey could have some fun with those, especially Liar

Personally, since I use mp3 cds, I'm gonna combine both albums plus "Not Make Believe" and "Love Minus Zero" to make a double album. I think it'll make for a very satisfying listening experience. All I need is for Christine's label to do a US release...

I suppose it's an interesting listen, but personally I'm more interested in "allowing" people to move on and hear what comes out of that as they intended.

To say that it will take paring down SYW and inserting CM tracks to make it "listenable" is to me.

Hi Mike... welcome to The Ledge!
I'm really pleasantly surprised to see all of the new "faces" here recently.

Have fun posting.

How could you not make it 18 songs There's really no reason especially if Chris songs are being used to keep it so danmed short.

*gasp* I love Silver Girl. It's such a relaxing song to lay back and chill to. And her voice is very soothing yet haunting. A great showcase for her.

I couldn't listen to it for about 6 months after the album came out, but I too have begun a delayed obsession with this song as I know others have. I'm almost over the "high-tech", "hard-core" and "girly-girl" passages (I don't think I'll ever move beyond 'almost'), and everything else about the song is so amazing. I love the "Still she's a danger-girl..." verse and the chorus and the instrumentation and.....

When I See you Again used to be a big stinker for me.

Now it's really nice. The brain can sort out anything!

Here would be my list

1. What is the World coming to?
2. You Are
3. Thrown Down
4. Miranda
5. Northern Star
6. Say You Will
7. Red Rover
8. Bad Journey
9. Smile At You
10. Friend
11. Steal your Heart Away
12. Everybody Finds Out
13. So Sincere
14. Bleed To Love Her
15. Destiny Rules
16. Come
17. Liar
18. Goodbye Baby
