^Those are actually very wonderful tidbits of info.

I'm surprised about Oh Diane.

Awww. But I don't know. He'd probably trade one of them for Tusk.

thanks for sharing that lovely review of Lyndsey's interview, viv.

more q&a (all this is reporting from our own Viv as well as another friend in the UK) -

q: which FM song becomes most difficult to perform?
a: ISA.

q: oh diane - who diane was?
a: not a person, just sounded good in song.

q: dynamic between LB and SN / relationship status?
a: convoluted, healthy distance, undercurrent of nostalgia, love, still working on it.

q: his single ambition to achieve?
a: he wants to make sure his kids become all their potential has to offer.

Michele
according to Viv's reporting, the question was actually about his single future achievement.

from all these snippets, i'm thinking this interview was somewhat like 92Y as far as questions and answers go. just no RAB.

None of this has anything to do with me. It was an article I copied and pasted from the net. I laughed immediately when I noticed the mis spelling of his name and some other mistake that you haven't pointed out yet.

who said it has anything to do with you??

i know, thanks (again!) for finding it and sharing!

EDIT: translation/clarification since apparently i confused poor viv and probably a few more people:
  • viv means i'm referring to vivfox
  • Viv means i'm referring to McTrouble.

Hey, I'm thrilled to get an Oh Diane mention after all these years. That's quite an achievement. I'm surprised Lindsey isn't pretending he doesn't even know the song.

On the other hand, I hope his mother expressed to him that she liked that tune. Because that's quite a surprise to look down from heaven and see you're being serenaded with Oh Diane of all things. I'd be like, "What the devil??"

I know I'd be rolling over in my ashes feeling doubly burned.

they were in the UK though, where that song was a hit. now if he'd get that question from a US audience member, then i would be shocked.

Oh, good point.

When you think that Lindsey's father died before he knew that Lindsey reached (and greatly expanded) his potential, it's a shame.

^^ went through some tweets. apparently the guy who asked Oh Diane question said that song was played on his mother's funeral, not LB's.

Aha! Because I was thinking that even if you consider it a fifties song, that still wouldn't be Lindsey's mother era.

Well, I bet hearing that it was used at the mother's funeral surprised Lindsey. Nice for that song to get some love.

It took seven hours (thanksnothanks, internet...) but I've uploaded the episode for anyone interested. And I assume some are. Enjoy.
