I am from Suttons Bay, Michigan. Born in Northport, Michigan in 1973 at 7:01 PM, August 31.

I grew up in Indiana, Texas, Louisiana, at-the-time West Germany and of course, Michigan, where I left at age 18 to move to Denver on my own and be my own person.

21 years later, I'm still in Denver. I love it here, and see no reason whatsoever to even consider leaving.

As for myself, I live in Austin, Texas. It's really beautiful here as well: huge rolling hills, limestone cliffs, crystal clear spring fed rivers, creeks, and lakes, and very laid back, friendly, quirky locals who love good food, drinks, and music. I grew up in Austin, lived away for a long time, and moved back a few years ago. I'm so glad I did, too... there's any other large American city I could be happy in. Unfortuantely, the secret is out about Austin... and it's growing to the point where quality of life is really starting to suffer. That's one of the several reasons I'd like to move some place else later in life. Mainly, I just want to live where there's no semblance of winter.

Im thrilled you took the time to checkout lovely Noosa, you definitely would love it here I have a couple of close American & Canadian friends that call this place home now, they love our climate, beaches & the layback lifestyle..

Actually all along the East Coast of Australia is spectacular, from the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, NSW's Gosford, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, QLD Surfers Paradise, Sunshine Coast( Noosa) & up North QLD to Cairns.. Just to name a few

Its been great reading your stories & seeing pictures of your hometown.

Estranged4life, Im so sorry, my thoughts & prayers to the people of Oklahoma.. Just so terrible..

I live in Lexington, KY; home of bourbon, thoroughbreds, and basketball. We're known for our beautiful horse farms surrounding the city, as well as the numerous distilleries within an hour's drive.

I'm glad to see Michigan is well-represented here . I am from Grand Rapids, the second-largest city in MI. It's an alright town I guess-- has a nice, compact downtown, close enough to Detroit to see all the big concerts I want to see, and about 40 minutes from Lake Michigan.

One good thing about here in Connecticut is I dont have to drive for 300 miles to the shows .I can see and enjoy about 5 to 10 or more concerts from a single tour just in a 300 mile radius .

Ah, my friend just got back from a trip to Prague and had a wonderful time! It's supposed to be a great city and I'd love to visit sometime soon. Lucky you, Matthew!

As vivfox said, those photos are stunning. I won't say "I want to travel there soon" for fear of sounding completely repetitive and boring, but it is what I'm thinking.

Here are a few photos of my adopted town. Admittedly I tried to find the most flattering photos I could. My town isn't as photogenic as some of the above, lovely though it is!

NYC here, Queens specifically. Never lived outside the city. But I don't have a New York accent; my mom wouldn't allow it.

I now live in a rural town in Alabama. My husband is from here, originally. I really don't care for where I live. I am an open minded and accepting person. That type of person doesn't seem to fit in well here.

The people here are very into Christianity and look down on anyone who isn't in a church every time the doors are open. They have very narrow ideas of how people should be. If you are not like them, you are not treated well.

This area does have some natural beauty, at least. There are mountains, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls nearby.

I went to UK. Are you near Ashland?
