Question Fave opening song?

I'm on a posting frenzy...What is your favorite opening song?

My Heart Beats Like a Hammer
Stop Messin Around
Need Your Love So Bad
Coming Your Way
This is the Rock
Woman of a 1000 Years
Child of Mine
Remember Me
Emerald Eyes
Heroes Are Hard to Find
Monday Morning
Second Hand News
Over and Over
Love in Store
Big Love
Skies the Limit
Talkin to My Heart
The Chain

Hmm...so many GREAT ones...my favorite of this particular bunch has got to be Second Hand News...it's a FUN song!! BAM-BAM!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Coming Your Way, Woman of a 1000 Years, Child of Mine, Monday Morning, SHN, Love in Store, Big Love and The Chain the most. Funny how they are almost all Danny/Lindsey songs...LOL

I would have to say The Chain. This song has really become one of my very favorite Mac songs. And I can't wait to see John play that famous bass riff live in concert

But Second Hand News is a very close second

This is tough! I would have to say The Chain, because of that great intro and the ultra-cool bass riff! But I will said that Second Hand News and Monday Morning would be close second and third.

Default The Chain

'cause it is such a powerful song and it gets you psyched for the rest of the show...

I was going to say "The Chain"... I love it, it's a terrific song and one of my favorites, but really... mainly because of a personal thing... something that feels good from my heart at the listening process, "Monday Morning" with all the merits.

"Monday Morning" or "Second Hand News" or "Say You Love Me" usually, but also "Don't Stop" or "Get Like You Used to Be" or this or that way, way back.

My favorite concert opener was "Monday Morning" during the Tusk Tour, but "Second Hand News" during the Mirage Tour was pumped, too.

I think the first time I actually ever heard the band open with "The Chain" was the 1994 show will Dave Mason.

"Monday Morning" just because it's a feel good kind of song!

A close 2nd is "The Chain". Funny too because I used to not like it. Now it is one of my favorites!

Over & Over

I'm the resident Over & Over fanatic so I had to plug it! It's the perfect pop song.

But actually I agree that The Chain from The Dance is the perfect opener!

Being that I have an alternate running order for the following albums, I'll toss these into the barrell, too

Future Games: "Sands Of Time"
Tusk: "Honey Hi"
Behind The Mask: "In The Back Of My Mind"
Time: "I Do"

But of those originally listed, it's tough to choose between the following...they had really great opening songs for four straight albums:

Coming Your Way, This Is The Rock, Woman Of A Thousand Years & Child Of Mine.

What David said (come to think of it, I think 1994 was also the first time I'd heard them open with "The Chain" as well); I seem to recall seeing them open with "Say You Love Me" more than anything...so if ANY song would claim the "signature opening tune" title, SYLM should be that song

For a few shows on the BTM tour, "In The Back Of My Mind" opened...then seamlessly segued into "The Chain"

My favorite would be Second Hand News, with Over And Over a close second.

quoting myself...how odd

I just was thinking about those four songs, what a great four song concert opening order!

I'd like to hear Lindsey tackle "Woman Of A Thousand Years"...that would be really great, IMHO.
