No, more like $125 and $200. Larger contributions = special treatment.

EDIT: We are talking under the old ownership. Just FYI.

Who the hell would make a contribution of that size to a message board?

Same kind of people that make big contributions to political parties and canidates. I feel sure that it use to go on when The Wizard was in charge. He would except larger donations and in hopes more would be coming, he would over look violations from these people. Just my opinion. Someone had asked what started the whole ban issue last year and this is what I felt the root of it was.

I could see if it was for a personal friend, maybe, if they needed help? No, I'm too broke. I guess it's all relative- that just seems a bit much in my opinion.

I guess I just can't understand how it would be *that* important to be able to have "free rein" in a message board to make a large financial contribution. What kind of violation overlooking would that kind of money buy?

Well, the big increase in supporting members came with the NEW ownership. Many of the banned were supporting members....even moderators

Don't get me started. That place is the biggest joke of all time.

When The Administration started charging people for access to certain folders I already brought up the fact that if you can't cover the dough, you shouldn't have bought it in the first place. Then why did he, you ask? Oh, that's right, to become the almighty powerful one. That's what they all love.

Now, as ruler of a dwindling kingdom, he has to force his gullible minions to pay taxes to keep the place afloat.

I knew it wouldn't be long before someone posted something like this.

I'm here too and I was a member here first. I just don't post much.

Hey Deb! I was a member here, too, and just hardly posted. When I was banned from 7W I really could have given a rat's ass (and I was one of the supporting members over there, though I never paid more than $12). I did not ask/beg to be reinstated like other ppl did. They did reinstate me but by then it was too late. I don't go there and I'm not supporting the chaos, screw it. TJ just got too off topic (not enough Stevie/Mac threads - which is the whole point) so I rarely go there either. I'm still here and I like it here so I guess I'm not one of those who immediately bailed.

I don't think he bought it. If I understood correctly it was given to him. I think The Wizard was kind of fond of the new owner and offered to give him the site. Kind of a I'll scratch your back, since you scratched mine.

Oh really. I didn't know that. So perhaps the Wizard is still in control from a distance.
