I've tried La Mer and didn't like it. I thought it was too greasy and thick... it felt like I was smearing Crisco on my face. It's also outrageously expensive... there are other Estee Lauder brands (and drugstore brands) that are probably just as good and a lot less expensive.

I only use Paula's Choice products on my skin... they work amazingly well and they're reasonably priced. It sounds like a cliche, but my skin has never looked better and I've tried just about every brand out there. All of her products are fragrance free and formulated to be non irritating. I would totally do an infomercial for them!

Check out the website... there's also a lot of good information and reviews.

i've used proactiv for the past two years and i swear by it. not only that, but they do sell other skin care products that are geared toward reducing the appearance of acne scars and from what i hear, they work well.

oh, and i've recently fallen in love with bare minerals by bare escentuals. in terms of makeup, all i do now is use that, throw on a bit of mascara and my lipgloss and i am good to go. a little pricey but no more than the other high end lines. i'd definitely recommend that – my skin has been amazing.

Also O don't know if you've ever tried Lancome Bi Facil eye makeup remover but that stuff will remove just about anything without drying even waterproof mascara.
good tips. thanks.

so, you wouldn't recommend philosophy? Vicotria's Secret makes a great makeup remover, but it's way too greasy for me. I've always used MAC, but wanted to try something not so oily.

No I like Philosophy but I've never used anything but the bath products.

Ooh. I love the travel size stuff so you can try the products without having to fork over a lot of money for them before you know if you like them. You might as well check it out. I would.

yes! Have you tried those little oil absorber sheet things from them? Incredible. I also really like their sheer tint moisturizer. I never leave the house without wearing it.

i always look at their little pamphlet and want to try things but i never do -- apart from the kit. i used to use covergirl tinted moisturizer but i felt like it looked unnatural. how does this fair??

I thought it looked too unnatural at first, but that's only because I'd never worn tinted stuff before, but this doesn't look bad. And if it looks okay on my pale as snow skin, it should be okay for yours... I use "Sunlight", which is, I think, the lightest shade available. Their tea tree oil moisturizer is good, too!
