I love this man. Funny though not to keen on his Genesis years. I think he really hit his stride solo.

I absolutely love Cat Stevens. Have you seen Harold and Maude ? Cause you should. Cat did the soundtrack. Such a passionate artist, and Tea for the Tillerman gotta be one of my favourite albums ever.
It was like a tribute concert - Darren Cooper talked about Cat's early life and a bit about why he gave up his music for so many years... and sung Cat's songs (beautifully), of course! I spent most of the first half of it quietly crying (happily, naturally)! I absolutely loved it!

Very Much agreed. Melt is just perfect. and funny you should mention and the talk goes on. When I was a kid, I thought Pete was singing And the tacos On I said wow he likes his mexican food.

Anyway,

Speaking of PG, is "Another Day" available as a proper studio recording? I have had it as a bootleg for eons and I have always loved, loved it. And the video is just gasp-worthy- two of the greatest English singers ever in the prime of their youth and musical chops.

There were lots of songs that got me weeping, but what really finished me off was "Father And Son" - all I held back then was my voice... actually, if only I held it back! At the end of the song lots of people were clapping and cheering Darren off stage, and a few called out... sadly, including me. I was so chocked up (let alone that I usually have a deep voice anyway) that my "WOOOOO!" sounded much more like a "BOOOOO!" I didn't dare cheer after he came back on for the second half!

(the "call out" part made me laugh!). sounds like fun. I'm also the kind of person who sings at concert, and after, when I watch the videos, it's horrible. And everytime I swear I won't do it again, but God, it's impossible.

And now, I'm listening to this :
