She sold her publishing for a small fortune. It was a once in a lifetime deal that she’d have been crazy not to make, retired or not.

2. She was with Fleetwood/McVie through, what, technically 5 of the various members who left over the years before Buckingham and Nicks, and was with them through another bunch of revolving members? If her feelings aren't given the same weight as Mick Fleetwood's then perhaps she's as "toxic" as he is and people believe Nicks to be. This "rhythm section" (she's referred to herself as that) has appeared to chew up and spit out guitar players, before and after Nicks.
Peter and Danny were severely mentally ill, Jeremy was spiritually conflicted, Weston was having a fling with Mick’s wife, and Billy and Dave were fired after Mick started working with Lindsey again. Welch, Lindsey, and Rick may have gotten burned out, but they all eventually worked with the Brits again.

there are too many old FM songs in the setlist for this decision to be entirely Stevie Nicks' doing.
Mick released a coffee table book about the early years last year, and they’re releasing a career retrospective in November. It’s not all Stevie, but she’s certainly been a cheerleader for it.

As for Christine, her lack of involvement in the decision seems to be universally accepted. However, she decided to stay with the band, which makes her part of the lawsuit.
