I wish I would've been around back then. You know the old story about how no one gets your fandom but another nut just like you. I mean I've only been around here since 2005, which is going on 4 years now. The reason I joined is because I was tired of going to all of the shows I went to with no one else to travel with or meet. I sure wish I wouldve belonged here before SYW was over. Oh well, I'm having a helluva time now!

DavidMN- well it's good you are here now right? you have your own experiences and memories and there will be a time when you won't be here as much (like the rest of us) cause life happens but have fun while you are and enjoying the shows and sharing it with everyone!!

I think Vianna's sign on was VCatLVR or something? very sad still about that

On the old WWWboards at least I recall she used just plain ol' Vianna.

I remember you, shane! You were totally cool & had a dry sense of humor. I used to laugh at your posts a lot.
How ARE you?

Ah, I remembered his name. It was Jim.

Long before the LauraTN/Jim romance, my beautiful wife Susan & I met here (well, on the old format) Ledge...in fact, Marty & Lis used our penguin wedding invitation as the backdrop for the old Penguin opening page.

Oh, crap, that IS really sad. I remember sending Vianna a copy of Mick's The Visitor on cassette cuz she didn't have a CD player yet.

And, Barbara H, too...we used to debate the merits of Eric Clapton's Pilgrim album.

And, btw...hi, Lauren!! Long time no hear from!!

Gareth just kind of fell off the map...he was one of the dreaded "Black Ledge"-ers (as was/am I and a few others still around here)...wasn't that the BL people were evil, just a different clique than others; nobody really took the "high road", everybody just stopped getting along...(all over that Vox Magazine article about Stevie and the 4 abortions)...we've all grown up since then. No sense in dredging up past indescretions and opening old, long-healed wounds. As Paul McCartney said a while back, "Let there be Peace In The Neighborhood".

OH...and what about the crew who all piled in my old Dodge Caravan to see Stevie on her Enchanted tour at the old Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre? (Rhapsody? SilverSpgs? I know Kathy from Hawaii has posted on the rare occason) Most of those folks have seemed to have vanished off Fleetwood Mac cyberspace, as well.

That's interesting that so many couples met through the Ledge back then. That hasn't happened in a long time, has it? I wonder why.

I think we're talking about different Gareths. The guy I meant was the kid who used to talk about tent-poling his Levis.

(Who was Gareth on the black ledge?)

And Les? (who's still technically a moderator of this board, apparently) She was a significant contributor to the Blue Letter Archives.

Been coming to the Penguin since 1996. Posted on the old version of the board and then registered again in the new format in 2001. Don't spend as much time here any more as the conversations drifted to far away from the music. Hope all is well with everyone.
