I don't know - looks good, but I can't stop thinking of The Exorcist. Not sure if I'll be able to see it without constantly comparing the two.

Yeah - it looked interesting - I'll probably end up renting it one day though - I never go to the movies.

Oooh... It looks creepy enough. I hope it's good when you see the whole thing. Often it looks great in the trailer and then is really disappointing.

I know exactly what youre talking about. you see the trailer, then go to see the actual move, and its a total stinkbomb.

I know what you mean...but this actually seems really good. And It doesn't seem to be a copy of the movie the exorcist...the story and background are different.

I can't wait. It's really scary if you are religious and believe in possession, which I do...but if you don't then it still would be a great movie I think. The website even has a section called Faith/Science...they try and remain objective to let the viewer choose what they want to believe.

This looks really good and so does the new Jodi Foster movie. I want to see both of those films.

I dont want to see it. Saw the preview when I saw the Skeleton Key and those black eyes scared the piss out of me. And the people with the melting faces in the cars...ew....creepy.

i actually enjoyed it. It was slow paced at first, and one of the "villains" is pretty easy to spot. But the ending made up for the rest of the movie.

This movie is based on a true story as Im sure most of you know. here is an teaser I found about the movie:
Quote:
A true story, the case of Michel is well known among those who study exorcisms. In 1976, the Catholic Church officially recognized the demonic possession of an 18-year-old German college freshman. During her exorcism, the young woman died, and a priest stood trial for causing her death.
kind of a weird twist eh?

As for comparisons to The Exorcist, I thot the Exorcist was campy and it didnt scare me at all. I think Emily Rose will be far superior from what I've seen...
I hope someone will fill us all in because I for one cant afford to go to the movies

Default Emily Rose

I am really excited about the Emily Rose flick. I probably won't see it in the theatre...I don't like going to the theatre...but I'll rent it for sure when it's available.

Horror movies with religious themes are my favorites! I am not religious, per se, but I do certainly believe in devils, demons and other entities, and the idea of posession just horrifies me!
