Bob Dylan was absolutely terrible. Worst of the night, easily.

Cuz they rule.

But seriously, while they're not the most amazing singers or pickers I think they've got a good brand of folk rock goin on. I mean, they really rock, and for me that's what separates them from the pack of bearded hipster indie folk. I also dig their lyrical style. A bit reminiscent of Doc Watson and Townes Van Zandt.

Also, don't know if you're a fan of country(ish) music, but that helps.

Anyway, cool to hear that they're as nice as they seemed when I got my albums signed.

Now it's time for me to be one of those annoying fans and link to one of my favorite songs of theirs:

Yeah, I've heard they have quite the hometown following, but I've met only a handful of people who know who they are.

Now, let me be hypocritical, and ask... can somebody explain the Mumford & Sons' appeal to me?

I love country. BR5-49, The Derailers...stuff like that.

Oh, they couldn't have been any nicer! Nice, regular people!

They sold out the 800 capacity venue, at which I work, last time.

Nice! I have their self-titled, good stuff. Now I'm gonna have Cherokee Boogie stuck in my head all day.

I like alot of the different subgenres of country, the more classic sound, honkytonk, country/folk rock like the Flying Burrito Bros. Modern mainstream country for the most part though.. it's just pop with twangy accents and a bit of pedal steel. Not feelin' it.

He does an Indian boogie to the white man's song!

I've got everything they ever released(8 CDs, that I can think of), and dozens of live shows. I've also got several live shows on DVD, too. The fan community for them, back when they were going strong, shared everything!
You DO know, that their show stopping multi-instrumentalist, Donnie Herron, was on the Grammys with Bob Dylan, right? Speaking of nice guys! Donnie is the nicest guy in the business.
