Default Isle Of Wight 2015 on Sky Arts

Hello All,

Provided they actually make it to the stage on Sunday, there will be a small amount of coverage on Sky Arts - it seems there will be two episodes of 'highlights' from this year's festival, with the first part broadcast on Saturday the 20th of June:

http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/dn...-1---episode-1

Frankly, it doesn't sound like we'll be getting much - 2-3 songs is my guess - but at least the Mac are listed. Unfortunately, this festival never gets the blanket coverage that the BBC gives to Glastonbury each year.

Lets all hope for a DVD...

Oh, and episode two is on Sunday 21st.

Oooh. This is interesting. I hope they choose a good song. I hope they choose a rarer song to show and not Dreams, GYOW and Don't Stop.

I'm increasingly thinking they are going to properly film the Isle of Wight performance and put it out on DVD. Fingers crossed.
They could have done Glastonbury but that's got blanket coverage. They know there will be demand for an Isle of Wight performance DVD as its been hyped up and few people would have the opportunity to see it due to the limited TV coverage. There's a good chance Christine's voice is giving her problems but I reckon they are being overly precautious because they know the festival gig has a lot riding on it. If that's the case then its harsh on the Birmingham and Manchester ticket holders.

On a side note, I'm thinking ahead- I paid way over the face value through a ticket exchange website for the O2, 22nd June. I paid via debit card rather than credit card. If a show is cancelled can I get a full refund or only the face value? thanks

I thought that they didn't go to Glastonbury because of insecurities. They have no control about how they look or sound if the BBC covers the show.

Possibly. Somebody said at a m&g Mick said there was an issue with the Glastonbury organisers filming it. Some people felt the issue would be about them not having control over the footage. The issue with them filming it could have simply been that they wanted to be able to film a performance themselves so they can sell it.

Anyway, their insecurities about filming are a little bit redundant these days- now that fans film so much themselves on their phones. Everything's out there on the interweb, warts and all.

I hope the show goes well. I'm a little nervous, considering the cancellations this week. I hope Chris (or whoever it is that was sick) is 100%. It's such a high profile event I would hate for the band to get negative press, although it sounds like they're already getting some for their Manchester cancellation and lack of a makeup date.
