Song #1 (I Know I'm Not Wrong) [Alternate Version] Lyrics

Wow, that's a mouth-full! Anyway, this is one of those great demos/outtakes/other versions off of the special edition of Tusk, and the lyrics are very different from the studio version. Does anyone have lyrics for this? I listened to it and tried to type it up, but there are several lines that I cannot figure out. Thanks in advance!

Okay, come on, I know somebody must have it. To start us off, I'll post what I have so far.

Those are some pretty important lines, anyone wanna help? (Or am I going to get stonewalled again, just as on Given Thing)

I'm sorry, but this is a guy who makes "twist of fate" sound like "place to fade." What are the odds we could get it right?

He does not enunciate well. It's not easy to decipher anything he's saying, but it usually has something to do with winning, losing and going on down the line.

Seriously, I, for one, can't make out the lyrics you're asking for. On many of those demos, he's not even really trying to talk, much of the time. He's just going for a feeling, mumbling a mood to work around the guitar sounds. With Given Thing and Deep Dense, for instance, I don't know what he's saying, but it still speaks to me somehow.

I don't see the reason why to give his "working lyrics" much attention. In his creative process Lindsey appears to first come up with a musical melody/instrumental riff, then mumbles impromptu lyrical rambles to fit it.

Only after he refines the demo (and the lyrics) does a clear vision and a concise song emerge. All this working lyrical giberish is just the process he goes through to "birth" the song. Nothing really to decipher; just placenta!
