Yes, I've seen that one. I'd kill for legs like that. She's rivaling John for short shorts LOL, he had a few pairs that were barely there. Luckily he had good legs as well.

Did you click the "View Full Size" link beneath it? I believe it's a pretty big photo. she is indeed wearing shorts, and it looks like she's nicked (ha ha) a pair of Stevie's boots!

I think Stevie should've worn those jeans more often-- it's a very good look for her! I've only seen her wearing a mini skirt... once? I think she's got a nice pair of legs, too.

OK, I missed the "View Full Size" link at the bottom. Now I see it. She's definitely wearing shorts. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her in shorts before. I have seen Stevie in jeans before though. This must be from around 1975.

August 31, 1975, according to the scoop -- Balboa Stadium, San Diego. It's a great shot, & it makes me wonder once again just what we have onstage in Christine's setup besides the B3.

It's the exact same setup as the early October Landover gig on video:

We know she generally used the Hohner Combo Pianet & the ARP Solina String Ensemble through 1976 & even into 1977, as you can see in this shot from Carbondale, Illinois, Southern Illinois University:

But in this shot from San Jose State University, taken in late November 1975, you can see the Combo Pianet & the ARP clearly, too:

If you compare the photos closely, you can see that she is NOT playing the Combo Pianet in Landover & Balboa, although she does appear to be using an older model of the ARP String Ensemble (one with a folding lid):

My guess is that she is playing a Hohner Pianet N in the earlier shots, possibly before the Combo Pianet was available. The N & the Combo have the same sound-generating mechanism & therefore sound exactly alike, but the Combo was designed to replace the N for the working, traveling musician. The only sonic difference was that the N had tremolo but the Combo didn't. Also, the Combo had no folding lid & no speakers & legs.

In the shots above, you can clearly see the tremolo switch on the Pianet N to the right side of the keyboard, whereas the Combo, not having tremolo, had no tremolo switch (see below).

So, May through at least mid-October, Chris played the B3, the Hohner Pianet N (with the lid & legs removed) & a slightly older model of the ARP String Ensemble. But by at least late November 1975, she had switched to the lid-free, leg-free, tremolo-free Combo Pianet & a newer model of the ARP Solina String Ensemble (either without a folding lid or with the folding lid removed).

I actually always wondered the same thing David...about her set up around that time. I forgot all about that Hohner!

I <3 discussions about Chris' stage setups!

This thread has been a little lonely lately. I got a new scanner and printer for Christmas, and have been scanning like a maniac since I set it up earlier today. Since I've always complained about the lack of a good quality copy of the Dance cover photo, I decided to go ahead and scan my own..... It's always been my favourite Chris pic.

It's um, huge. Merry "Chris"mas.

Oh, and: I also got Mystery To Me (happy now, macfan?). Here's the picture from the booklet:

I've always thought her eyes were stunning here. And John looks cute.
