LYRICS Mixup - ever had it?

Well i know everyone has SOMETIME in their life, but I'm asking this question regarding Mac/SN:

you know the scenario: You're jamming out to this great song, singing along, when you realize you've been singing the wrong lyrics for years!

My personal experience with this has been on "That's All For Everyone"

the line: "Must be just exactly what i need"

i always thought was, "Must be just too sexy for my dreams"

and i was like, "Yeah Lindsey, Stevie's too sexy EVEN in YOUR DREAMS!"

what are your Lyric mixups??

I only worked out the right words to I Know I'm Not Wrong when I had Lindsey singing it three feet away from me!
I had been singing: "Her lips were waiting, her eyes looked set, the dreams of a lifetime, they ain't gone yet..."

Hope he didn't spot it

On a similar note, in the infancy of my fandom, I thought it was Stevie singing the chorus of Come, not Lindsey.

Uhhh I guess the same excuse? I only casually enjoyed The Dance, and SYW. So maybe I was expecting to hear Chris on SYW as well. And I guess that sounded like Chris' voice, more so than anything else on the album.

I was surprised she would write such a song though.

And I was like 12 years old.

NO WAY?!?!? that's the lyrics of IKINW? I always thought it was,: "licks for a white guy, dried in sand, dreams of a lifetime, a year gone...bad!"

speaking of Come, (wow that sounded wrong), i always thought it was, "cursing off, everyone's doing it!"

and of course, i'm 8 yrs old and my mom's like, WTF?!?!?

I thought he was saying "Must be just too sexy without me." which makes no sense.. when that happens I consult the internetz for the correct lyrics. Happens to me alot.

On Red Rover, before I read the liner notes I thought he was talking about Christine leaving the group and that the lyrics were:

"Christine you were dying and no one was crying."

There's this Cadillac commercial that plays now that was driving me crazy, because I couldn't understand what they were singing in it. I remember at Thanksgiving I was playing it and asking everyone at dinner what they thought was being sung. Finally, I went online and found out they are using a song by Phoenix called 1901 and that the words on the commercial are "fold it, fold it, fold it."

That had been driving me crazy. After I heard the original song, I decided I liked the music in the commercial better!

haha i love both those songs actually....i always thought 1901 was: fallin', fallin', fallin'.....i was close, eh.
