I've always, always diliked the soundstage production from 2007 for the same reasons. It's such a sterile recording to begin with which makes the editing and patching painfully obvious. She could really benefit from a little reverb in her mic, but for whatever reason her mics are always dry as a bone which does nothing to help her.

Her voice has been terrible since 1989.

1. Digital Release - available October 30
2. CD version - (contains exclusive art), October 30, only sold at Target
2. Crystal Clear Vinyl - available November 20, only sold at Barnes and Noble
3. Black Vinyl - available December 4th or January 15th, only at Amazon
Thanks for the info.

My Target says preorders are sold out. Well, they sure aren’t working hard to make those numbers happen.

As far as the net worth I saw quoted by some, please don’t take those “net worth” sites as gospel. Certainly don’t use them as “proof” of anyone’s character strengths or flaws. They are not credible, no matter how many times you see them trotted out on Wikipedia and silly entertainment sites.

Sold out? Really? People must want to sell it on eBay. Buying them up.

The preorders are sold out, but there will likely be more stock available on release day.

I bet they only had like 200 in stock and that is why they sold out.

I am not impressed with her vocal on Crying in the Night, the 2nd single.

But at least this song was wrote at a time when she had the sense to keep her songs at a reasonable length!

The guitar solo overdub at the end of Gypsy is pretty cringey.

Default Movie spoilers warning ⚠️

I just got home from seeing the movie. I was very impressed. Gypsy and CINT were not highlights, so don’t be too quick to judge the whole production on those. No Chrissie Hynde, which kinda would have been weird strutting out in the middle of the concert and disappearing again. Waddy was fine on those vocals.
Moonlight was and is a masterpiece here, her vocals are amazing and how I remember them from the concerts I saw in Sydney, it was almost like she saved her voice until that song.
I could write so much more telling you all how impressed I am with the movie. Haters gonna hate, the rest, you will see for yourselves. The stories were not rambling at all and made me laugh more than I did hearing them live.
Finally, Mabel Normand played over the credits, a perfect ending. My highlights were Moonlight, Belle Fleur and Wild Heart/Bella Donna. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Also just back from seeing this at the cinema. Absolutely loved it. The quality and production is much better than you’d anticipate from the previews, and any dubbing/lip syncing/post production shenanigans are absolutely not obvious, to the point that I actually don’t think they exist in any great magnitude. Stevie sounds very good.

Moonlight was absolutely my highlight too (and not just because it was written here in Brisbane!). It is stunning. I also loved Wild Heart/Bella Donna, and it reminded me of how much I loved it live in 2017 too.

If you hate Stevie, just don’t watch it. Honestly. You’ll only aggravate yourself and there are far more serious things to be aggravated about in 2020.

If you retain any love for Stevie and her music, I highly recommend it. And if it’s safe where you are, absolutely try to see it at the cinema. My mum and I both remarked how much it made us realise how we’d been craving live music, and this is the closest thing we’ll get for a while yet.

It felt weird not clapping and going crazy after every song tho. Some people clapped at the end of the movie. I think I’ll go again on Sunday, it’s the closest thing to a live show we’ll get for awhile.
Glad you loved it in Brizzie DoubtfulMiracle. How great was that...

I actually went to clap after the first song and then realised it wasn’t that kind of event lol. It was a great night though. I only realised this thing existed yesterday, so it was a real treat to be able to see it. I would’ve been disappointed to miss it on the big screen.

Haha I also went to clap and had to refrain. I just clapped two fingers together so it felt right lol.

Glad you found it was showing. What a bummer it’d be to miss the big screen experience.
