Default Design your dream life...

This is a meme going around a bit on facebook, and I thought we could have some fun with it here. Design your own future including...

1. Job
2. City
3. Car
4. Husband/Wife
5. Pet

(and of course, include pictures!)

Job- Margaret Atwood Worthy Writer

City- Los Angeles

Car- Porsche Boxster

Husband/Wife (we crazy bisexuals can never quite make up our mind, so I'm going with both)-

^ I think we look pretty good together.

Pet- Eskimo Spitz

hmmm.. interesting..lets see....
1. Job- something useful, that pays enough for the bills etc.I don't need millions.
2. City- preferably a small one, a few 1000 or maybe not at all. A desert island..Yes
3. Car- unessesary on an island, but a 1940's american Ford pickup would be my ideal.Green.
4. Husband/Wife- do I need one of them? Just a boyfriend then.I'm not sure I really want one of them either....ask me in another couple of years.( I could however get used to looking at Adam Lambert every day)
Why am I still on the Ledge, when my musical interests have shifted slightly?????? Haha.
5. Pet- now this, I know! A dog. Blue merle Australian sheepdog.

1. Job: critically acclaimed novelist, poet and prose writer who somehow manages to publish works that are both artistically credible and universally appreciated.

2. City: Paris. I used to live there every summer and I'd do anything to go back. Or maybe London... or San Francisco. Or LA. But probably Paris.

(a street in the Montmartre district of Paris)

3. Car:

Possibly a new Aston Martin. Tough question.

4. Husband/Wife

My English teacher from last year. Or Lindsey if anger management was in check. Mmmmmm. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession for only men 20+ years older than me...

5. Pet: This horse. He's in the $200,000+ range and I used to work for his old trainer so I got paid to ride him until he was sold. That's the one bad thing about working in the horse industry as an amateur-- you get to ride and show the nicest horses EVER but you don't get association credit (which is important) and they all leave sometime

1. Job- I'll be getting into education. Realistically, I think I'd like to eventually get into administration, and maybe even be a university president. They do verrrry well! In a dream world, it might be cool to be a rock star- record albums and tour!
2. City- possible in a beachy community in Florida.
3. Car- We had a Porsche Boxster before it got totaled (not by me). It was a gorgeous car- but honestly, I will never buy a new car because of the depreciation factor and how for the same price as a new Honda Accord, you could be rolling around in a 3 or 4 year old BMW 525
4. Husband/Wife-I want my wife to be someone who I greatly respect as a person and who makes me feel completely at ease- that I can be entirely myself is important to me. Someone who I am just very very much attracted to all the way around.
5. Pet- Probably a dog or so, and definitely an absolutely perfect cat like our new Greta!

1. Job I'm working my dream job but to make things *really* dreamy, I would be in private practice and seeing private pay clients only.

2. City Any New England area or coastal city, for that matter. This is a picture of the area on Long island where I grew up.
Photobucket
3. Car Eh, not really concerned about that. I have a Jeep and I like it. I bought it almost brand new, straight out of graduate school. But really, as long as it runs well, has a/c and gets decent gas mileage I am happy.
4. Husband/Wife Got it- second time is a charm!
Photobucket
5. Pet I've always had big dogs and I've secretly kind of yearned for a little dog I could carry around in my purse and name "Chloe" or something similar. I've also thought it would be cool to have a goat.

I think your dream life is the best so far, Jannie. Just far away enough that you have to imagine it, but sweet and attainable at the same time. I love it

Oh, I love this- thank you. As an aside, it took me forEVER to get where I am and I never stop appreciating that it all came together.

oh...was this meant to be a serious question??? On reflection, I can theoretically see that a gay guy, stranded on an island with a mad woman, her hairy dog and a Ford pickup ( which is useless because there wouldn't be any roads to drive on) might not actually work....hmmm. I mean, what would he do all day, while I was out beach combing...???? In which case I can only base my future, ( which starts any moment now) on what I have at present. So..

1. got a job ( it's useful)
2 live in a town ( too small for being a city)
3 car...yep (but not green)
4 husband..yep,( but only on paper) do I want another one? thats debatable
5 pet? do 3 fox cubs at the bottom of the garden count??

the only question that might actually come true is no.5, thats obtainable one day(and probably from an animal shelter, rather than a pedigreed one)
