Have you heard about the new book about her that's going to come out? Not very flattering...

The man looked dead! Talk about no color in the cheeks

The way he was shaking his head made me think he had Parkinson's or something.

Oh, and I loved how he sat there and fidgeted with his "waddle".

How did you love the God Bless America closeout to the speech? BTW, there is a good article in Rolling Stone this month with Nixon's former political strategist talking about how the Bushes think they are a dynasty. You'd love it.

I am vehemently opposed to school drug testing. I think in certain cases (like the ones you mentioned), the parents should have the power to have drug tests taken. Not the school; it's not their place.
In my school, if you played a sport, drug testing was mandatory AS IT SHOULD BE. The problem was, the students knew this and during pre-season they wouldn't do drugs. And, too bad the star athletes who also happened to be e heads were never the ones randomly drug tested during the season but me, who played soccer, was on the freakin' bowling team, never had a drug in her life, was. Well, I guess we know what market will benefit from this..."TAKE THESE AND YOUR PISS WON'T SHOW YOU USE DRUGS! WOOT." I've got news for them...if they were to random drug test EVERYONE, you wouldn't have a student body left...

I will agree. Waste of money.

I can't imagine what they would have on her. I mean yes she accidently killed someone like 40 years ago, but by all accounts I read it was an accident. Also, wasn't she a democrat for years before changing to a R once in the Bush Clan? Finally, no one that boring could be bad

I think they all say "God Bless America" or something like that.

I think Bush needs to can his God-speak; it's rather rude and obnoxious. I know that when he's about to spout about the Lord that the speech is over. He has his beliefs, but he needn't shove them down our throats.

And I'm going to look for that article!!!

I did read that Laura used to be a Democrat -- and I think Hillary used to be a Republican.

Supposedly, Laura hits the bottle wuite hard and has a pack-a-day smoking habit. She treats Bush like a child, tells him to leave the kids alone and let them do what they want, and she gets into fights with him over his politics (she's still a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat, supposedly).

Anyone take issue with what Bush said about foreign troops? If he has all these nations in a "coalition" and they've given us troops, where are they???

OMG - if true talk about your quite types going wild. I bet she has a Hog as well!!!!!

I saw an interview with her on C-span right after W was Pres. She said that Willa Cather (sp.? ) was amognst her fav. American authors. The interviewer was like Willa was a lesbo. Laura Bush fired back well what does that matter. The book is not about lesbians, it is about classic American struggle and is therefore suitable for just about any age despite the orientation of its author. I shocked to hell and back

It's probably available online. It's the one with Dave Matthews on the cover.
